Maybe the single most famous play in our glorious history. HAIL TO THE REDSKINS BABY!
“He’s going to go all the way” gives me goosebumps every time. HTTR
for years it was the gutsiest play on 4th down
mash it
Such a beautiful play
Such a shame for those of us who were fans only after this era. I don’t care what any other fan from another team cries about, there is no tougher team to be a fan of then Washington.
Was waiting the for the to show the replay then remembered it was from 40 years ago.
Also loved hearing Joe Bugel go through that play. Think it was Americas Game, something they did on NFL Network on SB teams
Probably the most memorable play in D.C. sports history.
For my generation(I’m 34) we have Braden Holtby’s “The Save” from Game 2 of the 2018 Stanley Cup Finals.
Or “The Bang” when Howie Kendrick hit the go ahead home run Game 7 of the 2019 World Series.
“Let’s see who will win this battle of strategy”
“Riggins!”
This game was my earliest sports memory (I was 6 years old at the time). My fandom started off the best way possible.
Chills every time I watch it
Weird to see #17 congratulating him afterwards and realizing “that’s not Billy Kilmer”…
