lane Hutson is on pace to break the single season record for most points by Defensman in NCAA history.

Lane stands a great chance at being the highest single season scorer for a defenseman ever in the modern era NCAA. Currently held by Matt Carle in his D+3 with a 1.359 gp/p. Lane is currently at a 1.4 gp/p.

Matt played in 39 games scoring 53 points.

  1. I’m so so hyped about this prospect. No matter where he ends up, he’s fun to see him grow. you see what i did there ? 😉

Let’s raise my glass ( of milk ) to our smol Bone !

  2. We can try to tamper the hype all we want, I think it’s becoming more and more obvious what his upside is, which is akin to a Norris winner in Adam Fox. I’d be very surprised if he’s not atleast a good PP specialist

  3. Matt Carle only broken 40 points in the NHL once so maybe don’t get so hyped till this kid makes some noise in the NHL….

  4. Can someone tell me the difference between him and Quinn Hughes ? They only have have 0.01 inch of difference while one was drafted top 10 and the other in the 2nd round. I know Quinn is an insane skater but is that it ?

  5. My two concerns are that he won’t be able to skate around people at the NHL level like he does in college, and that when he goes down below the net like he likes to do we will get burned if the puck is turned over. If he manages to be as elusive as he has been at the NHL level we will have a special player on our hands.

  6. 62nd Overall, goes top 5 in a redraft. He’s progressing spectacularly!

Can we get 2 top 5 players 2 years in a row!? 😈

  7. To be honest I would have been happy if we took this guy 1st overall but instead we got him and slafkovsky no matter which way you put it the 2022 draft was a great draft for us

  8. Hutson has so much haters based on being a Habs prospect that I imagine the haters calling him a bad skater and underzised and being unable to succeed while being a PPG Dman in the NHL

  9. Legit question, if he can’t defend at the NHL level really and he turns into a GhostBear/DeAngelo-style defensemen, would you consider that a failure?
