  1. I just don’t think people arguing against Molina’s HOF candidacy do it in good faith often times. They seem to intentionally leave out all the context of what makes Molina the greatest force behind the plate this game has ever seen. I know Pudge and Bench have their strong suits, and numbers do favor Pudge in dWAR, but Molina’s arm is singe handedly the greatest defensive weapon a catcher has ever possessed. His name in the lineup alone changed game plans entirely. His lore had built to massive heights before he even turned 30.

    No Molina’s HOF candidacy is not the same level as Russell Martin or Brian McCann. That is bullshit.
    It’s firmly a part of the Posey/Mauer/Molina group to make the best catching trio of this century.

  2. I’ll have to look it up, but there were a few years that he threw out over 60% of base runners, while everyone else was below 40%

  3. It’s so awesome that you can make the statement that Yadi is the best basepath run preventer of all-time and you don’t have to specify offense or defense.
