2 days after this glorious victory my son was born.. #greatyear
Goodbye, Aaron. Nice to know you and thanks for your service.
12 💚💛
Every time I see this, all I can think about is how he kept having to say, “I’m going to Disney World!”
I miss peak Clay. I miss the hair.
The first of many to come im sure..
Just shows you how hard it is to make a Super Bowl, let alone win one! So grateful to have watched three trips in my lifetime.
One and done.
I was there… not the ice storm that rendered Dallas near immobile nor Jerry Jones’ stadium seat incompetence could keep XLV from being one of the greatest weekends of my life.
It was a hell of a run. Wish they could have replicated it
Happy times
If you would have told me that day that the Bucks would win an NBA title before the Packers got back to another Super Bowl, I would have called you crazy.
That’s back when I swore up and down Rodgers would be better and more decorated than Brady down the road.
WHEW LAD!!!
Sigh.
That win felt like the first of many to come. WTH happened? lol
I was 12 when this game happened. I only remember a bit of it. Damn time passes quick
It is pretty crazy how many things broke just right in 2010 for Green Bay to get in as the 6 seed and make a road run to win the Super Bowl. Rodgers was 27 with a young team and thinking “they would definitely be back here again”…
And they never make it back.
Just shows how hard it is to get one.
I miss believing this’ll ever happen with rodg again
Lucky enough to see two GB SB wins in my lifetime. I know we shoulda won more with Aaron, but at least we got one. Lions and Vikings fans would kill for that.
Fond memories. I was one week into a new job. I snuck into the office Monday just in time for lunch because I was so hung over.
Wish I was a packers fan back then. Been a true fan since 2015. All I have experienced is pain.
I was living in Tokyo, and just landed in Seoul when the game started.
Went to an Irish pub at the airport and watched the whole game there, before I even left the airport.
After the win, I went to a big garment district and got a knockoff Rodgers jersey that’s held up all these years.
Not the most ideal Super Bowl viewing I’ve had, but memorable!
I thank Aaron deeply for the years and excitement he gave us Packer fans. Perhaps the best moment ever was attending one of the coldest games in Soldier field ever. The Packers were down two points or one point (I forget) to the Bears, were 4th and 10 on about their own 20. With about 30 seconds left in the game. Rogers throws a 67 yard bomb, it’s caught. The Packers line up, let the clock run down, kick the FG and win. We left the stadium while singing “The Bears Still Suck” Polka on the way out. Magic.
It was a good run
I was 14 years old… I’m about to turn 27.
This is fucking depressing
I was there. It was glorious. Pre-kids, so actually had disposable income. Lived in Fort Worth so didn’t need to fly/pay for hotel.
I have a framed picture with my ticket, the program, and a picture of me with the Jumbotron after the game hanging in my office.
12 years goes fast. I can close my eyes and be back in my seat next to a nice couple from Green Bay.
I’ll always have a soft spot for the Black Eyed Peas.
I was a college freshman and in total fanatic mode. I was so superstitious during the championship run that I never changed my game day “fit” for at least a three month stretch. It was this hideous packer hoody I found in my dad’s closet from that was from 1992. I’ve broken the lucky hoody out over the years but, turns out, the magic is gone.
Don’t worry we’ll be back soon. Right guys? Right??
Love explaining that season to Vikings fans. They will never understand the team you have to assemble, the players/leaders you need, AND all the breaks that need to go your way for the stars to align. I appreciate it more and more as the years go on.
Gods I was young then
Time to let someone else get us there.
I was deployed to Afghanistan. My staff sergeant was a die hard Steelers fan. We watched that game in the middle of the night and shared near beer and some really bad chicken wings.
I’d still rather consistently win 13 games every year and only win a Super Bowl once every 20 years than have more regular season misery and more titles. Assuming that is even possible.
And that’s without imaging the pain of being a Bears, Vikings, or Lions fan. For them the Super Bowl is when they manage to beat us.
