Not super notable since he wasn’t expected back anytime soon but worth noting nonetheless.
It’s unfortunate how his career with the jets turned out. Looked very promising when he was younger and first year in AHL but never got to be that NHL regular

He was so disappointing. I know every team has a bust now and again but this one stings.
Edit nvm, it wasn’t a weak draft class. We could have had Jason Robertson ffs.
He seems like a bust for the jets, BUT, he also only ever played under Maurice, who did a very poor job with young players and putting them in positions to succeed.
It’s impossible to predict with any precision how an 18 year old will play in 5-10 years. There are occasionally players who go top-10in the draft who barely make the NHL. I hope Vesalinin comes back and takes another shot in the NHL in a few years, even if it’s with another team.

Get the guy under Bones and give him more then 2 minutes and he would’ve been nice. He’s a tall guy so Maurice used him for defensive purposes but Bones will get him more involved with the offense. I still believe in him even though he’s gone and I wouldn’t call him a bust.
