  1. Bulls shoot 20% on 35 3PA and people want to blame Billy’s rOtAtIoNs. Our players simply don’t shoot well. Same issue all year and all last year.

  2. If the Bulls traded DeMar this is how the end of every game would look. Without him we have no closer

  3. Zach cannot do crunch time. Bad shot selection. Turnover city. Tries to do it all. Truly a shame.

Vooch was an absolute stud tonight and should beg for a trade tomorrow lol

  4. Zach is going to take a lot of blame but 12 points from the bench with no Demar is egregious. And what was that lineup to start the 4th? We need a starting caliber guard badly.

  5. Unluckiest loss of the year

Shots just weren’t falling then our reliance on DeMar late was shown, plus suspicious officiating and LaVine’s worst free throw shooting ever.

I’m not mad. Need to win the next 4 tbh.

  6. Second game of a B2B on the road against one of the top teams in the NBA without our best player. This happens.

  7. Needed to use Vooch as our facilitator down the stretch. Plus, nobody was making use of his passes cuz we can’t hit a damn 3 to save our lives this game.

  8. Don’t let this L distract you from the fact that Ja Morant is the corniest dude in the NBA

  9. Bulls need shooters around Zach Lavine for him to be more affective. Closing with ayo + Caruso was stupid because the defense just sags off of them.

  10. Takeaways from tonight’s game:

    * Zach was streaky as hell tonight. Either the best player on the floor or the worst with no middle ground. Down the stretch we really needed Demar and it was very clear. The free throws really hurt us tonight as well. I don’t know…I just wish we saw some consistency. I know the dude is an incredible player, but he’s just super hot/cold so you get bit when you have to rely on him.
    * Vucevic didn’t have an incredible shooting night, but I want to make it very clear he was the best Bull on the floor tonight. Dude was out there working his ass off on both sides of the floor. Good scoring, insane rebounding, solid defense, and great passing. The guy has been a rock all season and could not have done more tonight.
    * Pat wasn’t incredible, but I think we were asking too much of him defending JJJ. 3 inches and 30 pounds is a lot to overcome when the guy can still shoot. Play of the night goes to him and he still wasn’t remotely bad on defense after he focused on not letting JJJ get the ball in the second quarter.
    * The rest of the squad was in some range of mid to poor. Drummond in particular didn’t have a great showing.
    * The lineup that started the 4th quarter was one of the most questionable groups I’ve ever seen Billy put on the floor. I don’t know what the fuck the plan was there.
    * This was supposed to be a loss anyway since it’s a b2b without the best player on the team so I’m not too upset, but it was just such as ugly game, I can’t help but feel we should’ve won this one.

    MVP’s for tonight: Nikola Vucevic

  11. Im not convinced zach ever learned how to dribble the basketball. Bad shooting all around. The Pat dunk was the highlight for me tonigjt

  12. Not too upset about that one.

The 2nd and 3rd quarter was some of the best basketball I’ve seen this team play all year; fast-paced and aggressive. For a team that’s been labeled soft all year (and rightly so), the took a punch in the mouth in the first quarter and responded super well. We ran out of gas on a back-to-back in the fourth, and you’ve got to give some props to Memphis’ defense. They’re for real. JJJ is a monster.

Zach Lavine played well tonight. People will shit on his fourth quarter efforts, which wasn’t great. We can’t have Zach doing that shit where he assumes the role of point guard in crunch time. He’s not a great dribbler or facilitator. He’s got to be coming off screens in those situations. One of the many reasons why we so badly need a point guard.

Vuc was awesome tonight, per usual, and Pat Williams keeps looking better and better. He’s got that pull up mid-range J that is so pretty.

That game is a schedule loss, especially without DDR. whatever. Good effort by the Bullies.

  13. Man I do not feel good about our future after Zach’s play tonight and AKME standing pat at the deadline…

  14. It’s almost as if spending the off-season completely ignoring the lack of three point shooting didn’t make them better at threes.

  15. I’ll say I’m done then come back Thursday..

Btw what are the nets looking like? Are they more, less, or about the same level of a threat?

  16. Zach has such a bad handle, he can’t carry a team in the 4th. His free throw shooting was awful too for whatever reason.

Billy icing PWill for 10 min of game time and 30 min of real time was stupid af in the 2nd half. He just played one of his best quarters of his season in that 3rd quarter. Can’t get in a rhythm like that.

Caruso needs to give us more on the offensive end. I’ll give him that he’s probably still dealing with an injury, but his defense, which wasn’t as impactful as usual, didn’t make up for doing nothing offensively most of the game.

Ayo was great most of the game, shooting eventually became a problem in the 4th for him. Coby should have come in for caruso probably earlier in the 4th. Dragic played too many minutes in the 4th as well as DJJ taking too many of PWill’s minutes.

Vooch and ayo played great, 3rd quarter PWill was great. Zach was great in the 3rd but so bad in the 4th.

  17. Remember we used to argue about Zach lavine bring a number one option on a championship team? That was funny

  18. It’s a shame seeing vooch fight out there being so consistent and everyone else around him let’s him down :,(.

  19. I like Derrick Jones Jr but also I don’t understand Billy’s weird obsession for wanting him to be the main guy on the bench.

  20. 3-19 shooting from the bench tonight for 12 points. People losing their mind on Zach are such clowns. Him and Vuc were the only reasons we were even in the fucking game.

  21. Tbh I’m not too mad but them refs were sus, no surprise we lost to the grizzlies

  22. That BS call on Caruso being pushed into Ja really killed momentum too. Refs were terrible in the fourth.

  23. Yeah this team is going to completely fall apart if we trade Derozan. Anyways, too late to tank this season, and the team has been playing better in the New Year. If this team can just take care of business against bad teams and steal games here and there against better teams I don’t see why they wouldn’t at least have a play-in seed locked up (especially if the Raptors and Wizards decide to be sellers at the deadline). They are just 3 games back of 6th place btw, so it’s not out of the question that they sneak into that spot. Knowing this team, though, that seems far too hopeful.

Sadly, this core is probably going to max out as 2nd round exit, even if Lonzo comes back close to full strength next year and they make some smart signings for bench contributors this summer (given the state of the Bulls since 2016, I’ll gladly take that). We’ll need another rebuild to actually return to contention.
