  1. I’m so glad this fanbase doesn’t have to be divided on Wiseman anymore. We can move past it and focus on our current roster.

  2. Waking up with no Wiseman and GP2 back feels marvelous. Get another big in the buyout market and there’s still a glimmer of hope

  3. Sad about James gone but happy that Gary is back where he belongs. Hope JK can give us what James couldn’t

  4. Hate to be negative posting in a time like this, but ngl I wish we did more at the trade deadline than just get GPII back. Don’t get me wrong, I love the guy and it’s great that we got him back, but I still feel like we didn’t get a whole lot better with his addition. The roster feels more or less the same as last year except without OPJ (and to an extent Beli). I don’t feel like he’s a huge loss, but anyone saying that our team this year is comparable to last year’s is kidding themselves.

It feels like there’s a lack of urgency with this team even when we’re floating around .500. Even Steph who says that they’ve got to turn up the intensity is prone to terrible clutch turnovers and cold shooting. Don’t want to be a doomer but I’m not loving our chances at a title defense this season, but I would obviously *love* to be proven wrong.

  5. Can’t wait to see our double pest lineup with one of the Klamps, Klay and Dray. Our second unit is gonna be so good lol

  6. I’m always gonna be the cautiously optimistic fan no matter what so this might mean nothing. But I think we did really well in the trade.

Teams like Lakers and Suns did huge trades that makes them look instantly better than us on paper but I think both those teams needed way more upgrades than we did.

We already have the best five man starting lineup. We have Donte, GPII, JP, JK on the bench. We need one more center to be pretty much just as good as last year if not better.

We added defense, morale , depth, chemistry, bench celebrations and most importantly a good and happy storyline. As fuckedup as it sounds, Wise was turning into a huge distraction. Kerr and the locker room vs Lacob in a pissing contest as we’re trying to turn our season around.

Our halfcourt defense, rebounding, hustle, dawg-o-meter and drives to the paint got so much better with Gary’s addition. I’ll bet you the big three and pretty much everyone else is gonna play focused and fight now. This could be a huge turnaround with effortless adjustments.

  7. A source, who was granted anonymity so that they could speak freely, says a reason Payton was traded was he indicated he didn’t want to be in Portland and was ecstatic to return to Golden State, an embarrassing development for Cronin’s first free-agent signing.

    Wow.

  8. I do like the team we have. Frankly I only care about making the playoffs. The team plays a different game. Our players are old and save their body for when it matters. Wiseman wasn’t the right pick for us. Kerr doesn’t play with real centers. Besides, he really doesn’t have much feels for the game. We are only missing a center and we are good. With GP2 we will defend better. Kuminga didn’t play well last game but we know what he can do.

  9. Oof, smear campaign going on against GP2 by the Portland media and subreddit right now.

w/e…same team that smeared Becky Hammon about hearing she was considered unfit to be a head coach…then she goes on to lead the Aces to a championship

  10. Anyone concerned with size? I know the Warriors unlocked small ball but is this the smallest team they’ve had in the run?

  11. Lots of moves in the West. Excited to see these new players on their new/old teams.

I hope we’ll play better now. Let’s go on a good run, starting with lighting up “new and improved” Lakers at the Chase

  12. Any buyout candidates to look out for? I think GS should really look for a back up 4/5. Hearing Love’s name floated around a bunch but curious what others think.

  13. Super excited for GP2; I think there’s still holes in this roster, but to some extent I don’t really care anymore – just having GP2 back makes the season feel a lot more enjoyable. A few comments/questions below:

    * Are Klay & Wiggins going to be a full-time 3s now? Klay’s already been basically more of forward all year anyways, but it’s probably a bigger role change for Wiggins. Between Steph/Poole/Donte/GP I’m not sure how much time there is for the usual Wiggins/Klay at the 2/3 lineup.

    * I’m really curious how Kerr manages GP2 and Kuminga. They barely shared the court last year (4.3 mpg, only ~23% of their minutes). There’s a good amount of overlap in where they operate offensively and have similar defensive roles

    * Lamb feels very redundant now. I suppose he has marginal value as a stretch 4, but I’m hoping PBJ shows enough to the coaching staff that he can get those minutes. Lamb should be in court, definitely not on a court for this team

    * Really great bit of business by the FO getting a real asset for Wise without having to give up an additional pick. I think the flexibility come summertime to package Poole or Wiggins’s salary alongside 3 firsts (or a young prospect) should a superstar come available leaves a lot more room to maneuver come the offseason.

  14. At the end of the day gp2 has warriors dna in him, like he is supposed to be apart of this team. And that’s the thing about Wiseman he was just soft on the court. Our warriors are cocky son’s of bitches in there playstyles and don’t care about ehat anybody thinks. Moody doesn’t have it for sure either.

  15. I still can’t believe that the raptors wanted 3 frp and a talented young player for a tier 3 player 😂.is that the going rate now for above average role players. The nets got offered 3 for mikal too.there needs to be a market.Jrue holiday who is the best and better version of the 2.Went for 3

  16. The West has gotten much more competitive and compared to last year, this roster has gotten worse (in depth and age).

We’ll need some help and some luck along the way — but it will be fun to watch indeed!

Who ever represents the West will have tired legs against an improved Boston Celtics.

  17. I’m wondering if Poole’s going to be more playable in the playoffs this year as compared to last year. He put up good numbers in the memphis series but he’s been getting hunted relentlessly by Ja in each of our matchups. The Nuggets are better than last year but with a vet C in our pocket I think our guards still cook them. Same with Phoenix, we have enough defenders to throw on Booker to exasperate him and make him turn it over and Ayton’s baby booty soft.

  18. Dubs needs to win the last 3 games before the All-star break. The West is even tougher this year with the moves that transpired recently. So, this is a make-or-break for the team.

They can’t afford to lose, especially on the road. And with Curry’s absence, everyone needs to step up.

  19. Man living on the east coast sucks, I am so out of touch with what’s going on. I thought the GPll shit was just memes yesterday I didn’t realize we actually got him back. Let’s fucking go man, this shit ain’t over yet 💪🏽

  20. I’d be cool with us taking another flier on Damian Jones. All we need is a 7 footer who can soak up 8-10 minutes in the regular season

  21. So biggest trade deadline losers are Lamb and Ty I guess? I don’t see us converting them now.

  22. Who else caught the look JK and GP2 had when JK came into the game the other night. So wholesome and back together.

  23. I keep hearing how Wiseman had great work ethic. What did he actually work on? Did he just shoot hook shots nonstop during practice? They invested in Jokics coach, but he failed to improve him whatsoever. Wiseman basically got worse as the years went on.

Work ethic? Its not adding up.

The things the team wanted Wiseman to work and improve on. HE DIDNT WORK ON. He didnt have a good work ethic. Which is why Curry’s statement is true.

  24. This sub even thinking for a second that getting Wiseman off the team was anything but the obviously correct decision is just mind boggling to me. I guess people just get attached regardless of what the on the court body of work says.

  25. If you told me after the championship we could

    1. Keep Looney

    2. Keep GP2

    3. Extend Poole

    4. Extend Wiggins

    5. Sign Divincenzo and J. Green

At the cost of losing Wiseman, Porter, Belli, Lee, and JTA, I would take that deal easily

  26. Damn GP2 they’re really beating your ass in the (Portland) qrts… couldn’t have gone all the way villain and missed those free throws to help us win?? smh

Wasn’t really expecting a trade so pretty pleasantly surprised we got GP2 back without giving up a pick in what was basically a DDV for Wiseman swap. And hopefully we have a higher chance of signing Dray this off season. And Wiseman can finally get playing time! Win win for everyone not named Moses Moody 😭

Happy the trade went through though since it proved the FO is willing to correct mistakes and not hang onto their pride too much. Hope the energy shifts a bit and we start playing better. Can’t choke a fourth quarter lead if you play an all defense lineup and go 0-0 right?

(OG for the 2019 championship ring, Moody, the corpse of Andre and Rollins’ remaining good foot, who says no? Maybe they can use that to resurrect OPJ)

  27. Why did we hold on to moody? It feels like he is not going to have any playing time now even with the curry injury

  28. lmao@Memphis fails again. They were willing to give the NETS every pick and pick swap and players for KD but they were told NO. PettyKings of the second round exit.
