I agree that this is the move. We have a roster set to truly compete for 1 more season, maybe 2, before the age of our roster catches up and we won’t have the cap space to fill holes. Our division will be trash again so let’s push all the chips in and go for it. If we suck again then just tear it down and rebuild

Not jimmy. I think he is underrated but we don’t need another game manager. The leauge has changed since last week with the last ever pure pocket qb gone, we need to upgrade over dalton. And jameis hopefully goes to the colts or something

Cam Jordan my guy but I honestly don’t see us making it far if we do get Carr. If Cam Jordan wants to win a superbowl he honestly should just go to another team because his age caught up with him and he’s not the same from 2-3 years ago. I’ve seen him get locked up plenty of times this season and nobody else on our d-line is elite at pass rushing. Nothing on our team is really elite at anything and I’m 100% sure 31 year old Derek Carr wouldn’t make a big difference. We honestly should just go into rebuild mode and our goal should be is clearing up some cap space and drafting a young qb.
I don’t ever want to tank. I want the team to compete no matter what the circumstances are. There’s always opportunities to rebuild when you suck even when competing anyways. Our roster is still decent, we have lost a lot of 1 possession games because of back luck over the last 2 years. It’s rare we actually get destroyed, like the 49ers game this year for example and even that game we had multiple opportunities to score and blew them.
This mfers talking about tanking need to put some respect on the talent.
NFC south was wide open for the Saints to punch a ticket to the play-offs even with the uninspired play-calling.
The Defense did the best it could. L to the Vikings in London was a heartbreaker. etting Brady come back was another punch in the gut.
I appreciate Jameis and Dalton though they aren’t going to get you over the hump. One solid top 20 starter and the Saints are in. Defense is getting older. Kamara needs to get involved before he’s bored and takes the money to move elsewhere. Use Hill for what he is. Capitalize on the WRs that are relative no names who shined with mediocre QB play.
Win one for Cam and Demario at minimum I’m happy for another 10+ years.
As great and fun to watch as they were this year, I don’t think Shaheed and Olave can quite carry the team to the Superbowl.
I’m glad he feels this way but I also don’t want to kick the can and waste the prime of guys like Latti, Werner, Olave, Ram, Taylor, Shaheed etc to get a Derek Carr or some other average QB. Like. How cheap can we bring Andy back
