  1. Suggs should have finished the fourth quarter and played the entire OT, he was outstanding all game! And of course the worst officiating anyone’s seen in a long time.

  2. Suggs had a game. Close one even with Franz playing like shit and the refs gifting everything to the Heat.

I don’t understand how they miss so many calls on our drives, it has to be intentional at this point.

  3. Maybe we should start a GoFundMe so we can buy some calls for the Magic. Does anyone know who to send the money to—does it go to the refs directly or is there a middleman?

  4. On one hand, Paolo and Franz were pretty dang bad. On the other hand, we still got hosed.

I get all of the guys covering our team saying we lost because our best young players didn’t have a good game, but come the hell on. That whole 4th quarter was a shit fest from the refs.

  5. I fully believe that game was rigged. I mean we didn’t have a perfect game but no one ever does. From the Markelle fultz charge call when jimmy butler was under the net, Jalen suggs blocking foul, Markelle fultz charge call in OT, Wendell getting smacked all over on that offensive rebound late in the fourth, paolo getting clobbered on his last second layup, and Markelle not getting the jump ball and more. It was so blatant it wasn’t even funny.

  6. jfc wtf is wrong w this sub tonight. our guys had so many chances to put the game away. the refs called the same number of fouls for both teams. yeah a couple of calls were questionable but jfc 90% of the reason we lost was bc our guys couldn’t get w bucket to save their lives. we blew multiple double digit leads. how can you blame the refs on that?

we didn’t get hosed. we got out played. out coached. out hustled.

  7. Mosley better say something tonight about how pathetic this game was reffed. Stand up for your guys and your team. That was blatantly fixed down the stretch.

  8. Suggs needed to be in the final minutes of the 4 and in OT. SUGGS was changing the game by shifting momentum to Orlando’s favor. Suggs is an energy bringer. He needed to be in during closing minutes to never let the other team get in these types of runs even with the refs helping. Imagine Suggs hounding Butler or Herro during the final 3 mins in OT and 4q. They would never get any stride.

Also, MOSLEY IS A TERRIBLE coach. I have said it whole season. The guy doesnt challenge, doesnt know how to take timeouts, he waits until AFTER a lead is gone to take a timeout. It’s ridiculous to have a coach who gets regularly outcoached. The only times Mose looks good is when we have Paolo/Franz/Cole or Mo going supernova on the other team but that’s not reliable. Mosley is a fake coach only a players coach not an X/O coach. He doesn’t understand asset management at all. SUGGS was the difference this whole game and for him to be iced during the closing minutes in a close game was so bad its nearly fireable (in fact fire him). I like Gary but he is no Suggs. Suggs this game was also an offensive monster, put Suggs in and it opens the rest of the team for cuts, and threes. Gary wasnt bad but Suggs was elite and needed to continue to stay hot and be used while hot. While Paolo and Franz were cold, we saw the duo of Fultz/Suggs takeover and the coach decided to break up that duo for almost no reason.

I know it’s not all Mosley’s fault that the refs were paid. And I am saying it seriously, but the refs need to be investigated. They had like 15 questionable calls during the last 5 mins in 4q and many during the OT but the Magic also were losing momentum at that point. The DELL no call, the Fultz no call, 2 fake charge calls while the defender was still moving, Paolo and Franz also regularly got hit hard inside the paint with no call. The refs were paid. They were calling soft Magic calls but ignoring some easy calls that many including me saw in real time from a screen (while the refs were right next to the play and missed it) but somehow the refs saw that Paolo were OOB with a very small part of his heel on the line. Its so bad its laughable, and after laughing its depressing to think that this game we all love is so rigged without any type of accountability. Every ref this game needs to be investigated. No amount of reporting from L2M will bring back the easy win that the refs decided to steal.

I dont fully blame refs, as I do blame Mosley for allowing the Heat to make that 3rd q run, and for not using his challenges/timeouts effectively. I also do really blame Mosley for not changing rotations to incorporate the players playing at the highest levels to better promote a lead or close out a game but I also blame the players for being lazy on boards and boxouts for the whole season. Dell, Moe (he did great this game on the boards during the 4q tho) and Bol arent centers. These players need specific coaching on rim protecting and being primarily in the paint. Its their weakness and nothing is looking improved from any of them and thats a coaching staff, FO, and player mistake.

  9. Moseley’s post game comments:

Our guys battled and attacked the basket the right way.

In those situations it’s hard to protect them (from getting frustrated at calls/no calls). You watched what happened.

  10. NBA better be gift wrapping us a top 2 pick with some of the officiating we’ve endured this year

  11. Suggs has 4 steals and 3 blocks and Mosely doesn’t think to put him in the final 9 minutes of the game. Gtfoh that’s just terrible coaching. No way he’s still on a minutes restriction.

  12. Dante Marchitelli rightfully pissed and calling out the refs like I’ve never seen him do before lol. Brian Hill laughing at his anger but acknowledges the bad calls too

  13. I know Franz is a cornerstone piece for us but he had no business even being on the floor in crunch time let alone being the guy to get his number called play after play. There’s hesitance in every jumper that dudes taken this week. 4th quarter of a close game against a rival is not the time get your dude to shoot out of a slump

  14. There was a decent amount of money on this game for someone. And at this point, no one can tell me differently.

What. The. F*ck was That. Seriously.

  15. Honestly? Mixed feelings bout tonight.

On one hand, Suggs clearly seemed to be playing well tonight. so did Mo Wagner, so reloading full starters was at least somewhat questionable, especially with Paolo/Franz both having an off night. On another, there was a couple (homerism aside) calls you could say that definitely didn’t go our way, especially late down the stretch; with that said though, I never like to point to refs as a reason for losing – good teams don’t win close games, they avoid them, and we shouldn’t have allowed the game to even get to that point where one or two calls swinging one way would be the deciding factor. Tough loss but hopefully the guys manage to take lessons away from this and grow better. Onto the next one.

Also, as a relatively new guy to this nba reddit sub thing, TIL that you shouldn’t go to another teams sub even with praise (though i definitely might have phrased it better, so thats my bad). Lesson learned i guess haha.

  16. Just got home from the game and two main takeaways:

    1. I’m ready for Suggs to start over Gary if we can’t get Harris consistent shots for him to hit. Suggs defensive energy and burst is sorely needed when we are stagnant late. This isn’t a knock on Gary.

    2. F*ck the Heat and their fans.

  17. Soo the refs show up, but c’mon, the team has lead by 17 points at one point

Anyway it just shows how much more battle-tested Miami is compared to this Orlando team.

This young Magic team just needs experience.

  18. Ayayay. Decapitated them first half, then put them back together at ot. Next mission for Magic is learn to hold the lead…..all the time. Especially a huge lead. Who tf is this Miami anyway?!

  19. Paolo was fouled when he made that last shot to put us up by four but of course the refs swallow their fucking whistles.

Also, yes we’ve gotta do a better job of holding on to leads but wtf man these refs were absolutely horrible!!

  20. I’m not one to complain about officiating but tonight’s game was unacceptable. There needs to be accountability and honestly it warrants an investigation. I seriously still can’t believe the missed calls down the stretch and the missed calls particularly on the Suggs “blocking” foul and the missed call on Wendell getting hacked to bits in the paint

  21. Jesus where does this put us in the playoffs picture?

I don’t think we are likely to make the play-offs so all these wins might not get us much of a reward.
