Would Terry, McTavish or Zegras be on the block? I just have no idea what Arizona would want that the Ducks would part with. You couldn’t imagine them giving up their first this year at least, but… idk, i just don’t see it as a fit unless things get crazy
I can imagine one of our d that aren’t here yet a goalie like Erikson ek a first rounder( protected this year) and probably a second or one of our veterans that have a contract year after this( vatrano maybe?)

Now? No. If this was asked after the Ducks sell a ton? Sure. Right now the assets we have to give are not of interest to Arizona, and the assets Arizona would be interested in aren’t something I’d do. So no I can’t see the Ducks being the mystery team this far from the deadline.

1. He would make us better in a season we can tank for a generational talent
2. There’s no point in paying up in draft/prospect capital to get him right now. We won’t be competitive for another 1-2 seasons at least and it makes no sense to give up assets who could help us once we’re competitive just to be marginally better than the awful we are now
3. Part of the mass appeal of chychrun for contenders is his extremely team-friendly contract. It’d be cool to have a cost-effective guy like that on the team, but in reality, that contract is gonna expire once this team is competitive anyways. So again, it makes zero sense.
