How do we feel about this?

  1. Depends on the price.

I don’t see safety as a need soo glaring that we need to spend big dollars on it in FA.

I see mixed things from Bengals sites on him, as he apparently hasn’t been quite as solid the last year or two.

But regardless, talent improvement is talent improvement.

  2. I guess I’m always confused when safety gets brought up. Who is he playing over? Cisco or Jenkins? Both were very good for us last year

  3. We have Jenkins and Cisco. Id rather draft a rookie to learn behind Jenkins than spend in FA, id rather resign our boys and look at a FA OG

  4. I’d assume we’re cutting Rayshawn if we’re bringing Bates in but don’t really see it as a need. I’d rather we draft a FS and let him develop to eventually take Rayshawn’s place.

  5. Tomlinson would make so much more sense for us than Jessie Bates. Bates is going to command top-of-the-market dollar and doesn’t make the most sense in our secondary. Tomlinson as a pocket-pushing penetrator would be awesome for our defensive line.

For fantasy purposes, Josh Jacobs to Miami would be the absolute best and Lamar Jackson to Atlanta would be awesome for my dynasty shares of Kyle Pitts. I’d also think that Chark to the Giants would be awesome, just because of how it’d help both my Chark shares *and* my Daniel Jones shares.

  6. I don’t even know who bates is but apparently a satety? Pass, if we reach for FA we should get a corner

  7. This is the equivalent of National media consistently mocking an OT to us in the first round in 2023

  8. God No do not overpay for a safety, keep who we have or draft one. Put the money at more valuable positions

  9. I feel like Bates is a bit too expensive for us to target and we need slot corner more than safety
