  1. Almost have to wonder that **if** we can’t bring in a good OC, likely due to the uncertainty of Bowles, does Licht and the Glazers consider dumping Bowles now too and get an all new staff in.

  2. Bowles’ precarious status and no definitive answer as to who the QB will be, has to be hurting the Bucs’ chances of landing a top OC candidate.

  3. Leave that situation for one where the team has no quarterback, negative cap space, and a ton of key free agents? He would be nuts.

  4. No good candidate is going to want to come here. We have no quarterback, Todd Bowles is our coach, and most coaches here only last about 2-3 years max.

  5. You’re gonna hate this hot take but if you know Brady’s leaving, and you won’t fire Bowles, you might as well leave Leftwich to make sure they both are gone next year.

  6. If no candidates want to come here given the precarious OC job tied to a lame duck HC, I would love to see what Harold Goodwin could do. He honestly has been the best Offensive Line coach we’ve had since the 1st super bowl and has been around for some time. He was the original Eric Bieneiemy for the Chiefs, as someone who never got a shot. Beats giving the job to a position coach who’s never called plays before.

  7. Can we not fire Bowles and just demote him back to DC? I’m not asking if we could, it’s just this sub wants him gone so bad when he’s produced a good defense for us he should be retained. Not for HC though

  8. Hopefully Jeff Jagodzinski left his playbook somewhere. It was only 12-13 pages so maybe it can still be found.

  9. This was my top candidate as well but I get it. The Bengals have more stability over there especially at the QB position.

  10. Licht: “Hey Dan, here’s a big promotion for you, you get to step up OC at Tampa Bay! One step away from a future HC gig!”

Pitcher: “Who’s gonna be your QB?”

    Licht: “Kyle Trask”

    Pitcher: “…..”

Licht: “Hello? Dan, are you there?”

  11. Are we even going to get a decent OC? We were already going to have a hard time as we don’t know who our QB will be and if Bowles will last beyond next season.

  12. I think we’re gonna end up with a OC that shouldn’t have the job yet. At this point it seems like no one wants to come here as bowels is still the coach along with our cap issue. Everyone were interviewing knows that bowels is most likely gonna be fired after next season or possibly before the season even ends. It’s gonna be a shitty year, but I’m glad the bandaid is gonna be pulled off quick with the hit to cap from Brady retiring. It’s honestly the best case scenario, instead of multiple years of a bad cap situation. We can get out of it and focus on 2024. We know we aren’t gonna be competitive next season. Might as well like trask play for the season, and hope were in a position to get Caleb in the draft. This year has some pretty good QBs though. I wonder if we’ll get one this year. I think if Hooker is available we should go after him. Worst case we end up drafting another QB next draft. At this point with our cap issue why not try to get one this year and if it doesn’t pan out try again next year in a draft with better prospects.
