  1. I thought the same as you. I think Merkin was merely looking at the most to prove this spring training instead of most to prove this season.

  2. Yeah that is really dumb. I’m not sure he’s in the top 10.

If I had to pick a #1 I’d probably say Moncada. The big $ years of his contract start now and if he is not producing comparable to his ‘19 numbers he is basically considered a bust. Eloy as a close 2nd. Mainly just to show he can stay healthy even if he just plays DH

  3. I think Giolito has a lot to prove after looking crappy last year. Contract year for him too I think.

  4. He’s never played in MLB, so in that sense of course he has something to prove. That doesn’t mean he shouldn’t get a shot though. The debate about whether he is good/ready/competent is just really stupid. Play him and find out. But none of this he plays once a week Tony LaRussa bullshit.

  5. You guys are literally critical of everything at this point. Yes, the whole team has something to prove at this point… we get it.

  6. Is there really a player on the roster without a lot to prove? You could argue Cease but he has to prove he can be elite year after year
