  1. It depends, if he’s willing to be paid like a 9/10 F (say 1.5M or less) then I’d take a flyer on him. I watch a decent amount of Oiler games (wife’s from Edmonton) and he reminds me of a bigger bodied Nieto. Fast, hard on the forecheck, and gets to where he needs to be on the ice. He just can’t finish to save his life.

  2. Friendly reminder that Val Nichushkin originally signed a 1y / 850k deal here and I think we can all agree that turned out pretty well.

I’m not sure what Puljujarvi’s contract status is, but if we can get him on something similar to that, we’d be stupid not to.

  3. No. EDM is wanting to do something in the playoffs this year. I’d doubt they’d trade inside the Western Conference.

  4. I think Christian Dvorak could be a fit. Might not be a huge upgrade over Compher at 2c though

  5. I’d be interested, but Oilers media still think he’s worth a 1st rounder and a roster player

  6. He’s an elite defensive forward… if he can find even half the scoring touch he was projected to have, he could be a huge add.

  7. If they got him for free at a very low dollar contract, like they did with Nichushkin, fine. Why not? If it’s going to cost assets, pass. The Avs draft capital and prospect pool is thin these days, so if they’re going to use any of that currency, I’d rather it not be on a reclamation project.
