[TSN] TSN talks about JVR interest and likelihood of being traded. Reportedly the interest is very high around the league and will definitely get traded. JVR talk starts at 2:35.

1. Nice to hear the interest in JVR is reportedly quite high. I knew there would at least be some decent interest since he would be a solid depth addition to just about any teams top 9 but its nice to hear hes one of the top targets at the deadline.

   Johnston named 5 teams that he knows are interested in him. They said hes some teams plan B if they cant land Meier (talk about a downgrade from plan A lol) and other teams preferred choice who arent interested in paying a ton for someone like Meier.

   Does JVR get a 1st? Probably not. But worse players have gotten 1sts at the deadline and it seems possible with his interest and name value around the league. Like I said worse players have gotten 1sts in recent years.

   From the buyers perspective I think he would be a great pick up for a 2nd rd pick for a legit contender. Will be interesting if we can find one desperate enough to give up a 1st.

   I could maybe see the Flyers adding another depth addition to him like Seeler to potentially get the 1st like NJ did with Palmieri+Zajac 2 deadlines ago. Palmieri was in a *very* similar position as JVR now and was able to get the 1st with a 37 yr old UFA Zajac thrown in. And like how Hathaway was just added to Orlov in the move that just happened today.

2. Then get on it. We’ve been sitting idly by while the capitals, who are above us in the standings, start selling and the wild pick up draft picks by playing the middle man. I hope chuck surprises me this trade deadline but I’m prepared to be underwhelmed.

3. If only Fuck Chletcher wasn’t “being given a chance to fix this”. This being the huge mess he has made. He will screw this up big time. Also, I have been reading there has been interest in Hayes. We can only hope he gets traded. But again, Fuck is still at the helm so it doesn’t even matter, does it? It’s all just a huge fuckup.

4. Seems about expected. Nobody is going to buy JVR while guys like Meier and Kane are still on the market, but closer to the deadline I could see a team in need of scoring coughing up a 2nd and a 4th for him

5. Chuck will hear that and decide to lock him up with term. There was a lot of interest in JVR so we think he’s a key piece moving forward…yaddaa yaddda yadda
