  1. Lamar is a great QB, Iā€™ll probably buy his jersey when he moves teams. I respect his game, i just hate the team he plays for. Do I think heā€™s worth that much guaranteed? Nahā€¦. BUT itā€™s crazy watching him play with that s*** Ravens offense.

  2. Is it crazy to think that he knows his body won’t keep up 5 more years, which is why he’s trying to cash out before he crashes out?

  3. Not sure if I’d rather the Ravens give him all that money or trade him and start over with a new QB and a ton of draft capital/cap space. Those high cap hits would make it hard to build around him and the injuries/his play style will start to catch up sooner rather than later. But on the other hand. They’d get at least two 1st round picks for him, so that’s some quality players they could add to a already solid team

  4. Bro has gotten hurt and derailed their season two years in a row, but honestly expects a fully guaranteed contract šŸ’€

  5. I just go back to thinking about the time he spun away and Nick Vigil was trying to tackle him. Get him so far away

  6. NFL wants to make Watson’s contract a one of a kind go play for Cleveland if you want that contract

  7. He can *want* a purple unicorn too, that doesn’t mean he’ll get it. The Watson deal was idiotic, and will certainly bite Cleveland in the ass. It’s unlikely another team is going to be that stupid, but he’s welcome to try…

  8. His main problem right now is that he is his own agent. He is too close to the situation to negotiate. His ego will get in the way of proper negotiating

  9. The issue is that he gets hurt a lot which isn’t uncommon for running QBs.

So while he is something special, he isn’t worth that. Heck, Watson is looking like a flop

  10. The Browns giving an undeserving qb a stupid large contract basically ruined it for a lot of other teams

  11. He will get it. Heā€™s a former MVP. His ā€œplaystyleā€ isnā€™t a concern. Dude rarely takes any hard shots, itā€™s almost always glancing blows or him running OB. 1 of his 2 injuries was from pocket passing. Watch Joe Burrow play, dude takes legitimately 5 times the number of hard shots Lamar does and no one worries. Heā€™s not cam or RG3, those dude were always running dudes over, he slides off people like butter.

  12. I hope they give it to him.

Then they get a QB living off of 2019 success to play half the season for them when heā€™s not injured AND they wonā€™t have cap space to put talent around him.

  13. Good for him. The most dangerous sport of the big three these guys deserve to have their money guaranteed. NBA is doing fine with guaranteed contracts. The nfl owners are greedy on a level of super villains in movies and comics.

  14. God bless the Browns for giving Watson that ridiculous contract. The Ravens are struggling to explain to Jackson how he, the clearly superior QB of the two, can’t expect as much money because, unlike Cleveland, Baltimore isn’t run by complete morons. This is a win/win for us and I love it.

If they pay him, they’ll be hamstrung long term on the salary cap with a running QB who is only going to get slower and more banged up with time.

If they let him walk we get to wave goodbye to Lamar Jackson in the prime of his career. Let him go play in the NFC somewhere. I hear Green Bay might be in the market.

  15. I just donā€™t see how he can think heā€™s worth that much. He hasnā€™t played a full season in two years and even during his best season ever, they ended up losing in the divisional round of the playoffs. Hell, the Bengals have the same amount of Super Bowl appearances in the last 4 years as Lamar has playoff wins.

  16. To be fair Watson didnā€™t deserve that money. Lamar at least can provide stats and doesnā€™t have off the field issues like Watson. The Watson deal was absurd on many level and made the unbalanced Qb market ridiculous unbalanced.

  17. Hey, if his ego is worth more to him than $133 million, go ahead, burn that winning lottery ticketā€¦.

  18. The Ravens front office has to be so pissed at the Browns. Nobody was talking about massive, fully guaranteed qb contracts until Cleveland randomly decided to give one to a sexual predator. Now of course Lamar wants one!
