I like Casey and he is far more trustworthy than the chronicle but I want so solid news no more speculation
I get that the two aren’t really comparable, but the fact that this is coming down to an amount of money roughly the same as what some FAs got this offseason is pretty absurd.
This is a solid take. I really want this to end already, and in Oakland.
Clubs paying $300-$400m contracts to one star player, the est. amount Fischer would need to contribute to Oakland and bridge the infrastructure GAP, using the funds he inherited by birth – a the wallet that never once paid for elite talent for his rabid fanbase ever get attached (Chavez aside), to build and keep a franchise in The Town that *makes him richer* year over year, for decades….

John Fisher encapsulates the worst of capitalism and is a pig of a human being. Pony up simply for the fans that keep him rich, profit off the real estate and sell the team. $300-$400m, a fraction of net his worth, a literal elite players salary which this fan base has never received, for a deal that will will create more generational wealth for a man that doesn’t deserve it. Get fucked, John. You suck.
