Jameis Winston says he has one year left under contract, but will the Saints keep him?

It’d be crazy if he was on the roster after he got shafted last year but there isn’t a lotta options.
The way I look at it is if it comes down to Winston and keeping or getting a couple other starter level players or paying Carr 35 million I’ll go with famous for one more swing
Not unless he takes a pay cut to $3.50 and half an oyster po boy.
I’d rather Carr but if they don’t get him, give me Jameis over Dalton. You know what you have in Dalton at this point in his career and I don’t need to see anymore of it. I’d like to see what Jameis can do with a fully healthy season. Jameis is not going to say it but I think that bridge is burned after the way the saints handled his injury situation last year.
Bring him back, sign Andy for back up money, and draft a QB. Have an open competition in camp, keep numbers one and two, cut number three.
Of course, all of this goes out the window if we land Derek Carr
No saint s will not keep him. Coming up on last two weeks. We will pick up Derick Carr and let JW and MT go or put out another 30 million plus for nothin.
I believe in his talent and character, bro just can’t stay healthy. I’d love for him to be our backup though.

i prefer Jameis to Dalton, i think he’d have had the confidence to go deep to Shaheed, he just had a super short leash and then got hurt
Well, I will say the chance of Jameis staying is better than the chance of Payton trading himself back to New Orleans.
Jameis is better than Dalton.
His time before he was hurt is proof of this.
If I were JW I would not want to play for DA.
I like Jaboo but he’s gone.

If Carr picks the Jets (which I’m anticipating) I think we will hold onto Winston for one more year. Yeah 12m is a lot but not compared to the majority of QBs. Then probably draft someone in rounds 2 or 3.
