Significant interest in Anaheim goaltender John Gibson but legitimate concern of his injury history. Anthony Stolarz is also drawing some interest.

  1. The man has started 2/3rds of our games for the last 7 years. You think at some point people would start to weight those early career groin pulls a little less heavily.

  2. Stolarz is the one who’s been dinged up this season (and still is currently) so it feels a bit ironic that teams appear to be concerned about Gibson’s injury history—which has been rather sparkling the last few seasons

  3. What’s a realistic return for Gibby? I’d say it’s not worth it if we’re not getting a first rounder and maybe one or two prospects out of it. The thought of having two firsts in this year’s draft has me 🤤

  4. Gibby is our boy! But I understand, he is way to good to be on a rebuild team. Remember the miller Gibson one two punch. His injuries are a way for negotiation. Plan and simple “in my opinion” best three goalies in the league. I wish him the best! And if I see him on another team I’ll always be a fan.

  5. There’s only one team that I can see that would be desperate enough to acquire Gibby with no retention…. And that would be Calgary. But we would need to take on a buyout candidate contract in Markstrom. It would take a big offer to make that swap. I’m not sure if we would want that on our books for the next 4 years.

I think Stolarz could have been a 3rd plus prospect value but with his injury and down year I can’t see more than a 4rth round pick coming back.
