[Grizzlies PR] Ja suspended for at least two games

  1. Needs to get his damn mind straight, I can’t let myself get emotionally involved in a team with this stupid ass story hanging over our heads constantly.

  2. hopefully this is enough to make him stop doing dumb shit before he seriously fucks up

  3. Hate this for the team but it’s absolutely the right move and beyond time to discipline the dude

  4. I don’t care if it’s Ja or if it’s Luka or whoever in his place. I want to see MEMPHIS win something for once in my life.

Ja is a massive idiot threatening to fuck up one of the fastest, most improbable rebuilds in league history. Beyond angry right now. And it was obvious he had a problem when WaPo published the story a few days ago, idk why yall were defending him.

  5. The Grizzlies acted extremely fast, the videos only been out for a few hours. Makes you wonder if they already told him that any more off the court incidents would result in this

  6. I love Ja but we’re gonna have to put him on a fucking Kyler Murray contract or something. No salary until he stops doing dumb shit for at least one season.

  7. Imagine having a golden ticket in life and doing everything in your power to hand it back. Truly do not understand this dude.

  8. So this is a Grizzlies imposed suspension or an NBA league office imposed one?

  9. Good. Someone needs to connect with Ja. Would be a shame if he ruined his career and his life as a father.

  10. So this is a suspension coming from the team? Not the NBA or is it handed down from the NBA?

Either way deserved cant have this shit slide in any capacity

  11. Holy shit, good. As a black father basically the same age as Ja I’m fuckin disgusted by his behavior. How the hell you gonna have a kid and know damn well how much unnecessary violence is in the black community and allow kids who look up to you to see shit like this?? He needs to grow the fuck up before he ruins his career or worse.

He can dress and talk how he wants to, listen to whatever trap music he listens to and still be a good guy off the court. This thug life shit is stupid.

  12. Has Bane shown any apprehension towards Ja and his behavior? Just wondering if Ja is fucking up the chemisty and Bane’s willingness to re-sign in ’24/25.

  13. Good. Don’t think that this is what changes his behavior, bur hopefully this is the start for him to get on the right track.

Honestly his acts have really made it hard for me personally to root for the team. I know it isn’t “right”, but that’s how I feel.

  14. Good on the organization at the same time so much racial shit in the comments here and in r/NBA

  15. Good, it’s a start.

Young man. Take this time and really reflect on why this is happening. Don’t just become angry.

  16. I remember when the NBA had a reputation of having nothing but “thugs”in the the league. That’s when they implemented the dress code. The players responded, acted like professionals, and now that perception is gone. This clown is throwing the work others have done to gain player empowerment down the drain over some wannabe gangster shit.

  17. Imagine knowing one of your teammates and fellow draft class player may have a legit career threatening injury and your first thought is to go party at the club and flash gats

  18. Come on. 3 mass shootings in Memphis in February 2023 alone. 4 dead 17 injured. This is completely tone deaf. 2 games is not a strong enough message

  19. Surely he’s got a dude in the blunt circle that will just say “man, what are you doing?”.

  20. Don’t we still have ZBo as an assistant coach? Maybe Ja and ZBo need a come-to-Jesus, keep that shit on the DL conversation.

  21. JA, GET NEW FRIENDS!!! Anyone with you last night acting this way is not your damn friend. 🗣️🗣️🗣️

  22. I miss those grit and grind grizzlies days. Team with humble point guard, great defense played, great teamwork, upsets like beating spurs and okc and never giving things up.

  23. I’ve been a fan of the Grizzlies since a while and I love the mentality of the city of Memphis. It’s dark times now and it’s everything all at once. But Ja deserves the chance to redeem himself and grow. This should be the low for him. But he needs character people around him to lift him out of that shitty, worthless lifestyle and he needs to become a real man for his team and most of all for his daughter.

  24. To become successful in life, you may have to ditch friends/family that are holding you back.

  25. What I am about to say may not be pleasant for some, but as a black man, I am sick of YTs talking about Ja and his dad’s relationship. I’m also sick of them talking about where he was raised.

Tee gave up a sports career to be at home with his son.
