I don’t care if Kai is the worst player in the world as long as he keeps that hair
Kai is a freak athlete but truthfully he looks lost out there most of the time. Not really sure what role he can fill for us because right now he can’t stretch the floor, does not have the necessary level of defensive positioning, and does not bring any playmaking or offensive upside besides random dunks.
I hope to see him put it together but with Mark and Nick looking like they’re taking steps I’m not sure about Kai’s future here
I still wanna play with Kai!
Kai is a center and the more they play him at PF the worse his stock gets.
I’m still heavily invested in Kai stocks. I hope Clifford rotates backup center between Nick and Kai like he did with Mark and Kai. We’ve never gotten to see Kai play C, which is his natural position. It’s always PF when he does play.
Besides, when we drafted him I always assumed it’d take ~2 seasons for him to develop enough to play so I’m still holding out hope.
Kai’s little Instagram clips and promo stuff always make me smile though, I want to keep him for that reason alone
Kai has had plenty of opportunity to show something other than athleticism on the court and has just failed to do so. I know people are impressed with his potential (I definitely get it, when he gets going in transition it’s incredible), but I’m starting to conclude that he just can’t really play basketball at an NBA level.
When we drafted him I never expected him to be much of anything the first 2 years. He’s got a massive offseason ahead of himself.
A Wemby-Williams front court will dominate this league for a decade plus, manifesting this now
Nah, I still love Kai
I mean, Mark was drafted higher and was regarded as a better, more pro-ready prospect, I’m not shocked to see he’s playing more and playing better.
Kai may have a higher ceiling but he’s a much, much more raw prospect.
i still have hope for him to develop. we just him to catch lobs, rebounds, and somewhat post defense
Kai will be good next season. Watch
I think Kai Jones is going to be a great back up 4 and or small ball 5 in the NBA I think he will thrive in that roll, and I think if he accepts that roll and develops he could be a 6moty candidate every season
