  1. I mean if Kyle didn’t bring him out to kick the tires last Dec I’m kinda pissed.

  2. Probably wouldn’t come out of retirement if he wasn’t gonna be a starter, so I doubt his talks with the niners last year got very far with Purdy going crazy.

  3. I mean, he’s washed but would have been better than Josh Johnson. Dunno if he would have signed with us to backup Brock tho.

  4. QB’s keep hoping Niners are an option to revive their careers. We didn’t take Brady though.

  5. As a backup/coach, I’d be fine with it. I’d feel comfortable if he ever had to step in and play.

He’s a statue, but he was still relatively solid in Indy, just had no arm strength. Better than Josh Johnson or someone like Sudfeld.

  6. if were going to do this, convince rodgers to get raded over here and then get him to agree to a very odd contract to get him paid but still be able to place for a year or 2. he loves kyles and deep in his heart hes still a niner and might be willing to take a cut to finsih his career here.

  7. To be fair, Rich said that it was a rumour he heard from multiple people at the combine.. he said he didn’t get any of his sources too..

  8. I would have taken any experienced QB over Josh Johnson. To not have a viable option behind Purdy in the case that he went down, which he did, was unforgivable. That game was over the second he got injured.

  9. Dude spent one year at home with all those kids and decided he’s gotta get back to the office!

  10. Dude never missed a start after becoming a starter. I’ll take a player who isn’t going to miss games as the third stringer. Stabilizes the QB room.

  11. From how Rich Eisen described it Rivers wanted to come back and play instead of Purdy, not back up Purdy.
