Thybulle should have been traded two years ago (as I called for in a package with Tobi) when it was readily apparent he was a gadget player at best and gimmick player at worst.
I genuinely see that as Morey’s biggest blight. Thybulle could have gotten us off that wretched Tobias contract if we had jumped on it.
McDaniels is obviously a nice prize for after the fact.
I like Thybulle and I hope he succeeds (just not against the sixers), but the way some people were whining about losing him was stupid.
JMac’s length, athleticism and effort are exactly what this team needed.
Harris is now number 5 most important player in this squad.
How many 20 points games has PJ had? It’s not about thybulle it’s about PJ taking up 30+ minutes of game time.
Thybulle is shooting 45% from 3 on over 4 attempts in Portland. I don’t understand how people think that’s remotely sustainable
And thats with him going 2/9 in his last 2 games from there
I was thinking about this after the game, that I like Thybulle but he would never give us a 20 point game. I didn’t think he ever had. Either way, this one from McDaniels looked pretty easy, he could definitely do it regularly if given the minutes. Such a big upgrade.
Really interested to see how well Jalen does in the starting lineup while tobi is out assuming doc continues to let him get those minutes. One game sample size obviously but I really liked the hustle and athleticism that he brings to the starting unit!
