Is Wirfs getting a shot at LT or does it not work like that?
Edit: “In Donovan Smith, Leonard Fournette and Cameron Brate, the Bucs have three cuts lined up that will clear $15.45 million in 2023 cap space. They now have a void at left tackle, which could potentially have Pro Bowl right tackle Tristan Wirfs slide over this summer.” – Greg Auman
👋🏾
It’s sad it has to end like this but bro was terrible last season and is easy savings. Thanks for helping us win a Super Bowl.
Dude doesn’t deserve any hate. This man played great in our Super Bowl year and loved being a Buc. Thanks for everything Donovan
Kind of a dumbass question but… why do teams release players instead of trading them?
It would be fitting if the release was a false start by being a few seconds before the league year starts.
Jokes aside, he has been a consistent face on this team for a very long time. It will be weird without watching Bucs games without him. I thank him especially for keeping Brady healthy and his efforts toward the championship.
Don’t let the door hit you on the way out. I know he was good our Super Bowl season but 1/8 good seasons is not good. Wish he had retired instead of Ali
I know this guy gets a lot of hate (especially last season when he was god awful), but it’s hard for teams in this league to find a serviceable long term starter at LT.
He had a good run, especially the super bowl year.
You don’t make it 8 years in the league without hard work and skill. He helped us win a super bowl and for that I’ll always be grateful.
PRAISED BE
Hope his arm heals up and he finds a home.
Had to be rough playing through a hyper extended elbow.
a year too late
Thanks for the memories especially that Super Bowl run Donovan! <3
It was best to move on but I have no ill-will towards Donovan. He did struggle for us last year, most likely due to personal issues, and was not the best for us most of his career but was amazing in 2020 and 2021 and helped us win the Super Bowl. A great person and pro and I wish him the best.
Wouldn’t mind sliding Wirfs to LT and have Goedeke play RT
Thanks for the ring! Bucs fans will always appreciate that, and will not forget that… that being said….I’m pretty sure he has the record for most holding calls from any Buccaneer player in history. So…yeah…. To me he will be known as the holding king who literally became a different player to help us win a Super Bowl
WE ARE FREE
THE BADMAN IS GONE
Felt like every huge play, there was a flag and I always knew exactly who it was
Thanks for the Super Bowl run but good riddance
I wonder how many games we lost due to a TD being called back because of this guy.
*It’s been a long time coming, but we done been fell apart*
But is Smith going to hold on….
HOLD up. Really?
He holds DLine
But he also holds his Super Bowl ring which he was a solid part in helping get.
It was his time
Grandma, we’re free!!! (To score touchdowns again)
The first of many. The next few weeks are going to be brutal.
GOD HAS ANSWERED OUR PRAYERS🥲
Blessed day
Bye.
Thank you for everything Donovan, but this is the right move.
Thanks for everything Smith! Have no hate towards him and perplexed that Chiefs fans want him that badly since Brown is gone now.
Thank god. I was sick of hearing “holding on number 76” by the refs all season.
Played his best when we went on our SB run. Nothing but love for the guy. Sucks it had to end this way, but I’m sure he understands.
