Before or after they cheated?
My Cards don’t win the 2011 WS without Berkman, he was awesome that year. But I HATED those Astros teams. Even the secondary guys, Brandon Backe, Morgan Ensberg….hated them all lol.
Back when the Astros were likable. Always loved that logo, don’t care for the current retro look they have

Killer B’s was peak Astros.
Great times, Roger Clements, Andy Pettit, Billy Wagner, Jose Cruz as first base coach. lots of hope every season. Killer B’s and Lights out Lidge. What is the question?
What about Bagwell and Biggio? Would they fit in there too?
I also forgot to mention rip to their little mountain that they used to had in center field
If this logo was still in use it would make just 3 teams which don’t have a letter hat. It’s a shame they got rid of it

I remember as a kid going and watching Oswalt and Berkman play for the Zephyrs in AAA
Ahh, yes…this was pre-trash can lid (aka cheating) days. When the team was respectable. 👍

Oh, I’d forgotten that Cardinals legend JA Happ played for Houston too.
Didn’t they acquire Happ in the Oswalt trade?
I may not be a stros fan but that logo was the best and the uniforms it went with were amazing I love the red version as well

Got the same hat a few weeks back, got the jersey for valentines day after my dad never got it for me as a kid. Despite all the recent success this will always be my favorite Astros era.
This hat reminds me of Octavio Dotel

We used to call them the ‘Disastros’ back then for always being last place.
Being a Cubs fan who’s team was occasionally good enough to compete with those teams, I didn’t like them but respected the heck out of those squads, they were really tough. Add to that list names like Richard Hidalgo, Octavio Dotel, Morgan Ensberg and Brad Lidge off the top of my head.
Kind of crazy and sad how moving to the other league completely erases rivalries. It’s hard for me to conceptualize that those Astros and the current Astros are the same franchise playing in the same ballpark the Cubs would play them in 10 times a year.
Back when only one(probably 2 were caught) pitches were cheating… They seem to have a common occurrence of cheating….
