So they let him run the trade deadline, trot him out for the season ticket holder town hall, and fire him a week later?
Willing to give Danny B a chance.
Never bought into the notion that stuff was going on behind the scenes to push Fletcher and Hextall to make the decisions they made.
They both operated in completely different styles, and neither was similar to how some of the older guys (like Clarke and Holmgren) operated the team.
Whether Danny B stays or is replaced, someone will have a hell of a job on their hands. Sanheim, Risto, Couturier, Hayes. Just some awful, awful contracts to take care of before this team can turn a corner.

Can’t believe they let him stay on through the Trade Deadline thinking he would do something of significance. I’m glad they finally fired him, but it’s another sign of complete negligence by this team.
He was *worse* than everyone warned us about when he was hired. Can’t believe how incompetent and inactive this fucking donut was. Good riddance.
Thankfully they relieved him of all duties, and didn’t just kick him upstairs in an “advisory role”.
I will be drinking tonight in celebration.

He hired the worst GM possible knowing that it would tank the team for at least 3-4 years and delay enough that the Flyers would start rebuilding at a time when no one else in the Metro is, thus eventually leading the Flyers to have the dynasty team winning several cups Flyers fans have deserved since the 70s. /s
