should the pacers push for the play in?

should the pacers push for the play in?

  1. Why? There’s not much to be gained. Best to focus on development and make sure we’re a lottery team.

It’s been a great year but we still need to stick the landing

  2. Sounds like a very Pacers thing to do. Will help to guarantee that we never sniff a conference finals ever again, let alone an actual Championship.

  3. Hell no. I don’t understand the fascination of maybe winning a play in game so we can boot ourselves out of a fucking stacked draft lottery.

Edit- just started following y’all on Google podcasts I’ll hear you guys out 👌

  4. These posts are getting sort of trollish.

How many times can this be answered and debated?

My answer… and I’m too burnt out on providing plenty of lengthy thought-out reasons why… NO.

15 games (to what? win 1, maybe 2 pointless games… big “maybe’s” too)

    *VERSUS*

The continued trajectile of the next 4-8 years …

NEXT YEAR… THE FUTURE BEGINS… LET’S NOT FUCK WITH IT.

    Just a tad more patience.

  5. I hate the mentality of this sub. We are a really good team when haliburton plays. Players don’t tank.

  6. Getting playoff experience is INVALUABLE. Show me a team who went deep in the playoffs their first time with hardly any playoff experience? Better to show this core the playoffs now so they can see how different the game is. The scouting for the playoff series are absolutely unreal and it would do them a great service to see how much they need to work on for the next time they get back. It cracks me up how everyone acts like a draft pick that isn’t Wemby is going to be the savior of the franchise. We’ve got a good team when healthy, just need to keep chugging forward.

  7. Let the players play. If we make the play-in, great. If we don’t, that’s that.

But quit asking this damned question.

  8. If Mathurin was healthy and we had a chance to get the 6 seed, sure. I’d rather not push for the 9/10 game though

  9. They shouldn’t but they also have one of the easiest schedules in the league the rest of the way + Tyrese playing at an MVP level right now. It seems likely they could pass Chicago and Washington. Maybe Toronto too.

  10. This loser mentality, as a strategy, is precisely why Indy has been a stockpile of mediocrity, at best, for many years.

  11. Nope, my wife has been calling me tank daddy since last year and I like it… the play ins will ruin that for me.
