This mock is a little wonky. If Mayer is available at 28, he’s going to be a Bengal. There is probably a less than 2% chance he’s available at 28. Edit: Wright won’t be available either.
Bengals should sprint to the podium if Wright is there. I seriously doubt he is though, unfortunately. I suspect they’ll take a CB or DT that falls instead.

Who did this mock? It’s laughably bad start to finish. New england isn’t taking an RB when they have literally nobody to throw a ball to, need offensive line and secondary.
It is interesting that PFF is so low on Wright (projected third round). What are they seeing that has him so low?
It would be a homerun pick if we picked Wright. I doubt he’s there, but if he was it’s a no brainer.
No tight end in the first round, please.
I’d take pass rusher or tackle. Cb is less of a need right now but they probably will take one early

Look at Brady and Mahomes, they’re highest scoring target was a TIGHT END.
Burrow deserves his gronk/kelce if the pick is there round 1 no questions asked.
This team has conceded drafting tackles high, it is much better to acquire proven tackles through FA or later in the draft. Time will tell but I don’t think this FO is confident in their ability to draft offensive linemen, especially not as high seeing how Jonah and Carmen panned out and their 4th round pick supplants Carmen, and the former 3rd round pick in Orlando Brown takes Jonah’s job.
I really think we go DE/Edge Rusher at 28. We don’t get enough sacks. Hendrickson and Hubbard are solid but thats about it. We lost an elite Safety duo that I think helped cover that deficiency on our defense. Ossai is the only guy that looks like he get can get to the QB against decent OL.
We signed a lot of OL in FA. I think this draft will be very defense heavy.
