That quote always bugged me, like say almost anything else other than that.
Saw that in person. Most incredible athletic feat I’ve seen. Thought ball was gonna hit roof. And the crowd. Some folks stood motionless for minutes. Utter shock.
Seven years later and now this is a vintage highlight. Caught because Dickrod was such a slowpoke the entire defense forgot about him.
Wasn’t there for this one, but was for the one in AZ for the playoff game. What a roller coaster of emotions that was
I was at the ‘17 playoff game against the Giants where he hit the Hail Mary before halftime. I was sitting in the upper rows and with the arc he had on that ball it went right up to my eye-line. It didn’t look real watching it in person.
I was at work, driving forklift during this. I’m not sure if it was the thrill and excitement, or an error in equipment, but I crashed the forklift into our manager’s office not long after this play, as I was honking the horn to the beat of the “Go Pack Go” chant.
I vividly remember watching this live from my dad’s living room and losing my voice from yelling so loud. Simply amazing.
We screamed out loud and terrified the pets. Couldn’t sleep for hours.
