  1. I’m more hyped for Endy than I have been for a prospect in a good long while. With Cruz, the talent is tantalizing, but the flaws are also quite loud. Endy has been nothing but a monster since he came over in the trade.

  2. He’s about to become a star. This is obviously a cherry picked stat but last season he hit more homers in a season the Andrew McCutchen, Bryan Reynolds, or Oneil Cruz ever did in a single minor league season. All while being a 22 year old switch hitting catcher and adjusting to 3 different minor league levels.

  3. It is a phenomenal story, and I love this quote from Baker:

    > “If you can keep two really good bats fresh by splitting up the catching time, then I think you have a better chance of having a more dynamic offense out of the position,” director of player development John Baker told MLB.com last week.

    I dream of a Spanky/Slaughter scenario only with two premium bats. To have Endy and Henry alternating C/DH? It could be an era-defining tandem…
