I feel like that moment was such a weird turning point for the Pats. If that play is called correctly, that’s a major confidence boost for Harry and trust from Brady. A big TD in a big game.
Seriously have no idea why refs haven’t just let most plays run longer, rule the TD, and then reverse if needed.
It’s crazy how big of an impact that call had.
The only good play N’Keal Harry ever made and they took it away.
Pain.
I will always die on the hill that we win the Superbowl in 2019 if it wasn’t for this game
Patriots got absolutely screwed that game. Kelce had a fumble that would have been a Patriots touchdown that the refs blew dead, which the Patriots had to use their final challenge on to get reversed. There was also had a blatant pass interference where Phillip Dorsett was getting hugged by the defender before the ball got there late in the 4th quarter that they didn’t call pass interference on.
As much as that sucked something we all forget is that when the referees ruled Harry as out of bounds Patriots had gotten a new set of downs and it was 1st and goal at the 4 yard line and they could not punch it in. As bad as that call was the fact we could not score from the 4 yard line speaks volumes to how bad our offense was that season.
I still just cannot process how they reviewed this and said he stepped out of bounds. Like did they not have this camera angle or something?
Here I am still thinking about last years terrible TD call in the raiders game when the guys foot was clearly out of bounds. That terribly missed call is overshadowed by the Hail Moron
As a Dallas resident and Patriots fan, this hit too close to home, Kyle…
I get that the rest of the league’s fans don’t want to hear us complain but that was SO clear cut to me watching that game. They’ve overturned far more controversial calls. Referee refresh required with an emphasis on HUMBLING THEMSELVES.
Amen brother. Speak the truth
I do believe this was Jerome Boger’s crew. The same idiot who tried calling a penalty on the “Seattle Mariners” during a Seahawks game.
The refs call the Chiefs preferentially and I don’t give a fuck what anyone says.
Let’s be honest, the league absolutely wants Mahomes to succeed. He’s their marketing darling. No surprise they rig calls now and then.
This play not only changed a game’s trajectory …it changed a players entire career trajectory!!
More importantly this game gave KC the tiebreaker for the 2nd seed/ Bye. The bye was a huge factor in them winning the SB. Mahomes was laboring near the end, recovering from that knee injury. No doubt in my mind they don’t win the SB without the bye.
Why does he have to keep reminding me of the only patriots game I’ve ever been able to go to
btw, jesse james caught that ball, you guys are chiefs of getting fixed refs so i love how you guys complain too
Love it
I’ll be convinced until the end of time that that year’s team at least makes the AFCCG if that game is called evenly. They weren’t beating Baltimore or Tenn no matter when they faced them, but KC got a free ride with those calls.
