Defense sucks, but also being league worst in rebounding is a real killer. Not only has giving up 2nd chance points killed us but also being one and done on offense because we can’t secure an offensive rebound. These last 2 games would have been easy wins if we didn’t get killed on the boards. It’s pretty pathetic that 6’4″ Hardy was our 2nd best rebounder last night behind Luka.
How do we compare to the top 8 teams in the west in losing games where we led by 10+?
A 10 pt lead is literally almost nothing lol, if a team never lost a game after getting a 10 pt lead they would of course be amazing
Our rebounding is probably the biggest concern.
T-rex arms starting means we are always at a disadvantage from the whistle.
We are DEAD LAST in rebounds per game.

a 10pt lead is nothing in today’s nba. like both teams go on at least one 7-0 run every game
10 points is a couple 3s and layups. Literally not giving up 10 point leads is like expecting teams to not give up runs LMAO.
If “IF” was a fifth, we’d all be drunk.
We can score with anyone… problem is we play no defense at all. How many of those 1-5 pt losses did we score over 120pts?
Even if we just keep the 16+ point leads, we would be 40-33 and the 4th seed. All those 16+ point leads could have been wins.
Would be interesting to see a breakdown like this of games with 4th quarter leads that were pissed away. By interesting I mean deflating.
The losses due to missed FTs are more frustrating.
Team get more wins if win second half 13 more times
With a competent coach, this Mavs season would have looked drastically different even with the horrible FO in charge. Kidd is directly responsible for most of these losses where the opposition made adjustment and the buffoon just kept watching while the lead disappeared.
How many did they win after trailing? Just curious
Even winning half of those 10-15 point leads we’d be 45-29 with a possible 50 win season on the horizon.
