  1. Let’s be one of those irresponsible franchises and just buy a shit ton of exciting players and worry about the cap next year

  2. So…basically the leverage doesn’t favor the cardinals. Soft market for WR and team leverage is weak. I’d imagine after the draft their market becomes nonexistent?

  3. At some point, absent a quarterback that can compensate for less-talent, they are going to need to sacrifice their prioritization of winning the value of the deal and prioritize acquiring impactful talent. Even with Agholor and Smith, they gave themselves outs and overpaid only in the short term. Sack up and get good players.

  4. Surely we should keep waiting for a bargain and not paying full price. That’s worked out well and we should continue doing it.

  5. I don’t get it, why does it matter for us that he is a salary dump, if he is worth that salary to us. As well as what ever pick we give in trade for him.

Wether we know they want to trade him or nor not, his value to us should be the same right,?

  6. It would be nice to not shop at the dollar store for a big time weapon at WR…just once. Moss was the only one

  7. I know in the long run it’s not smart to over pay for a guy like Hopkins. But man, if we waste Macs potential simple because we didn’t have the “guy” at WR, I’m going to be upset. In the Brady era, it was fine. But we need some supporting players eventually.

  8. This is a textbook draft day trade. The Cardinals have to trade Hopkins, this year is a total wash for them and his cap hit is 30mil. GMs know waiting out the Cardinals will yield a desperation trade.

I’m very down with swapping our 1st for the Cardinals 34th overall and DHop and I think that is very realistic if they see a guy drop that they really like.

  9. Meanwhile; impatient fans on r/Patriots begging to give up a 2nd, take the full salary, give him a fat new contract, and downvote anyone who disagrees.
