  3. Even if we stick with Zach we’ll get a high draft pick next year to get a good QB. Rodgers is a one year guy, we still need a long term QB.

  5. I don’t get the argument why Rodgers needs to be here ASAP.

    Remember, the Brett Favre trade didn’t happen until August 7 or 8. He was great until the injury. Jets were arguably the Super Bowl favorites at the time of the injury. Favre getting here late didn’t seem to adversely impact him or the Jets at all.

    Rodgers is going to be in an offense he knows. With at least one receiver he knows. Given he’s already publicly declared for the Jets, he’s probably already speaking with players on the team to get to know them (and if he’s not, odds are he will). What’s to say there won’t be a secret workout or two somewhere on top of it?

    Considering Favre was fine in a seemingly much more difficult situation, and Rodgers is better than Favre as it is….why should anyone give a shit if Rodgers doesn’t get here until shortly before week 1? We literally have the playbook for this scenario.

  6. I think the issue is Green Bay’s cap situation. If they trade him in June, they get an immense injection of cap space. They’re seriously struggling right now. I think it’s a legit handshake deal and we’re mostly set but I could see why something like that would have them waiting before actually finalizing it.

  11. Best case scenario is the Packers fumble the ball and we get to draft this year as if we have Rodgers and it forces them to take ‘24-‘25 picks
