  1. 2021 was another 110 loss season. But some very exciting moments were spread all throughout the season. Trey Mancinis comeback, Cedric Mullins breakout, and John Means no hitter were all incredible moments. Fans being back in the stadium also made the atmosphere at the stadium and on broadcast so much better.

We’re getting close to the end and to Orioles opening day so these years are obviously very recent. Tomorrow will be the most recent season and then I’ll do a short post for 2023 on opening day for a couple things that have happened already this off season and spring.

John Means No Hitter would have been a perfect game if not for a dropped third strike that put a runner on 1st. John Means still faced the minimum 27 batters so in my eyes this is a perfect game with an asterisks attached. During the season that has a record setting amount of no hitters it is easy for Me and game to get lost in the mix but Orioles history was truly rewritten by Means

Cedric Mullins broke out to become a 30-30 player in 2021. His performance is one of the best for any Orioles Center Fielder. Mullins earned an all star game appearance, and received MVP votes. He had become a mainstay on the Orioles lineup and had maintained his spot as one of the best CFs in the game.

Trey Mancini missed all of 2020 with Colon Cancer. He was healthy enough to play in 2021 and won AL comeback player of the year. He also earned a nod at the Home Run Derby and made it all the way to the finals. In my opinion I think Trey winning would’ve been one of the greatest all star moments ever. This year would be Trey’s last full season with the Orioles. He would be traded during the 2022 deadline to the Astros

The Orioles had several notable losing streaks including one that almost reached 20 games. The season will most be remembered for the young stars that broke out or debuted like Terrin Vavra

  2. Why did Mancini wear #44 in the HR Derby? I don’t remember that part of it. He did great though. But Alonso just had too many dongs in him.
