My buddies new Oilers hat he ordered from China.

For some reason it has an American flag and no Canadian flag. Everywhere it should say Edmonton, it instead says “Edmont” or is completely unintelligible, it has Toronto raptor style claw marks all over it. Where it should be orange is actually more red than anything and the form of the hat would make you think it was made for someone with elephantiasis.

This is an excellent example of why it isn’t worth it to throw your money at cheap knockoffs! If you truly support a team, show it by buying official merchandise.

  3. I was in Cancun and I saw someone that had an oilers hat that had the oilers logo with “playa del carma” on it with some Mexican colors. He got it at a random gas station in the middle of nowhere.

  7. My brother ordered a mcdavid jersey from china and it was sent with the name bar upside down. I think it was worth keeping versus getting repositioned.

  30. Unpopular opinion but I think this actually looks kinda dope. Very edgy and creative. The authentic ones you see at Oilers shop, sportchek, Lids are so generic and boring, especially for over $40

  41. I’ve picked up stuff from 3rd party sellers over the years and I’ve never seen one this bad, though I imagine it gets even worse. Even the Chinese knockoffs have been pretty nice, my main ballcap I wear casually (as opposed to formally, for a game) is made in China and holds together better than my fanatics gear.
