  1. Can’t really expect to win when your starting back court has 14 points in total. Great games from Franz and Paolo though.

  2. It kinda pisses me off they immediately head to commercial. I actually like seeing the post game player interactions lol

  3. Lol we beat them every quarter but the first.

And the first had some questionable rotations.

Edit: I know Paolo isn’t tanking but like Admiral for more than 5 minutes? Someone in the magic org is sus.

  4. Biggest need on this team

A 2 way SG that can defend off ball.

Gotta stop getting beat back door and weakside by shooters/cutters

WCJ gotta do something about rebounds in traffic

We need creativity with our 3 Pt shots

  5. most valuable goga

suggs 1 for 10 (it was a layup, also)

    Fourth Quarter Franz

    Paolo Canyonero

  6. Good game from our dynamic duo of Paolo and Franz. Not upset about this loss, they played well outside of that horrendous first quarter. Goga really making a push to earn that back up center position

  7. Goga needs to keep getting minutes. I like him and Mo in the same lineup. Put Caleb back on the bench.

  8. First quarter really fucked the team over. We might’ve actually stolen one if we didn’t look like the worst team in the league.

Love the effort to get back into it. Team really showed a lot of heart. Got a lot to be proud of.

Ultimately, an L at this point in the season isn’t the worse thing in the world though.

  9. This team is the real deal but we have some glaring deficiencies in shooting and possibly a superstar

  10. Paolo and Franz combined to go 8-19(42%) from 3 tonight…Prettay prettay prettay good.

  11. We desperately need shooting. Our back court showed its limitations against a tough Grizzlies defense. Made mistakes down the stretch but ultimately it’s whatever. Better draft odds I guess

  12. Appreciate the fight. And looking forward to them learning from this. We just needed to stay poised and play our game. Make better shot selections

My only criticism is that I still don’t understand how you have a guy who has proven to be a closer… and not give him the ball early enough in clutch minutes. Paolo is wide open under the basket damn near begging for the ball or perched on the elbow waiting to iso, with a mismatch on him. And he was hitting shots??? We could’ve closed that gap wayyyy earlier in the fourth. And then Franz would’ve took us home.

  13. GOD DAMN! We are gonna be really good in a couple of years. Playoffs next year, ECF the following, Title after that

  14. Man chill. Our young team just lost to the 2nd in the West in a close game. We do not need other assets, just the patience to wait a year and see what the draft brings.

I’m so proud how they came back and with a little more experience they will win these games

The step on the line from Cole was the biggest thing, the rest was simply great 4th quarter, sparked by a bench player (Goga) and kept alive by the core.

    Edit: sparked

  15. For clarification they used the Giannis wall defense for Paolo.

That’s not normal even on young brons best day he wasn’t getting 5 guys watching his drives.

    That’s respect from the grizz

  16. The fuck did we just come out pretending to be the GSW tonight for? 50 3 point attempts? Half those attempts were actually scored at a good efficiency between Franz, Paolo, Admiral, and Goga. The other 6 players that decided to just chuck 3’s? Well they shot at 13% efficiency on 23 attempts.

Losing the game by 2 possessions when you had 12 more field goal attempts is disgusting, and only happened since we played way outside of our teams identity. Play-ins on the line and we act like we are a 3 point shooting team.

Also, hope Dell was taking notes from Goga on how to play the 5. Sometimes he is just too small and tonight was one of those nights.

  17. GOGA IS MO-LIKE. HE IS READY TO STEP UP AND BECOME THE NEXT BIG CENTER THAT THIS TEAM AND THE NBA NEEDS.

This coach needs to stop trolling and needs to start Goga. He is a clear synergistic fit with the rest of the starters, is a real rim protector, a real screener, a real center. Goga is a difference maker. The guy did it all and was playing the game efficiently and systematically. Goga was pure in his effort and rewarded the team with every minute on the court.

Mosley did well to let the bench run so long but he needed to figure out the good from the bad and change up once the lead got low. This is one of the many problems for Mos, sometimes he wants to reward players and that overshadows his logic as a coach. He should have benched Admiral as soon as he saw JJjr was out and put in Paolo or Franz or even Moe. So we can punish inside better or set up better angles for shots from the inside out passes. Mosley didn’t identify that till after Admiral made like 4 huge mistakes in a row. Ridiculous. I remember something similar happening other times before in which Mos would want to reward the bench by running them to the ground if need be instead of actually making a winning adjustment after we see the game is back alive.

Not too mad this one. So alot of grit. Not sure why Franz and Mos seem to be at odds at points when they panned to them. At the end Franz just walked past Mos mad faced also without looking at him but they may hash it out quick. Also Franz is truly a superstar. I really dont understand his lack of attention worldwide by now. His skillset is fun, he is smooth on those drives, and once hot the guy makes ridiculous stepbacks and deep daggers, he needs a nickname for his clutchness imo. Franz is a jack of all trades, master at offball movement, iso drives, pnr layups, circus finishes, stepback threes, c&s threes, open threes, floaters, and switchable defense. Franz is our best player imo, guy is getting close to flawless.

Paolo had a pretty strong game, once again clearly focused and gameplanned against and once again showing adjustments mid game. He honestly seems extremely explosive and more athletic throughout the season. Its probably the workouts but the guy once again tried a highlight reel dunk this game. He is becoming more and more like Bron, before it was considered impossible since Paolo was a bit slow footed(he still is) but his speed and bounce to me has shot up this year. On the otherhand, his handles has regressed once again. He is getting poked out most drives.

I consider Franz the Magic best player but Paolo/Kelle its more important. Goga may take somebodies spot soon if this coach stops trolling and let the man start like I have been calling all season. I truly dont understand why this team/Fo/coach keeps on focusing Dell as a center. Dell is not a center. Every time we put a real center in with starter quality players on this team there is a visible change. Dell is an elite big man POA defender, and a great not yet elite 3 level scoring PF but he isn’t a center.

Only real gripe at the end outside of not bringing in starters early and letting that bench get tired and losing the momentum they made to switch out is the fact that the Coach put in Cole over Suggs at the end. Suggs would have been very useful to force a pickup/loose ball/To at the end. The team was heavily using Franz who wasn’t missing, Paolo also was getting in gear, Cole not needed. Should have put in Suggs, to better force more TO/To’s. Also for some reason I trust Suggs better than Cole in clutch shots. Fire Mosley but the future is bright with Kelle, Franz, Paolo, Goga, and Mo. We also dont really need Gary like I have been telling yall.

  18. That lineup with scho was left in a little too long. Paolo hit some shots late and then doesn’t get the ball back in his hands.

Not a bad loss though, we fought hard.

  19. This was my first away game i intended.
    I missed the magic fans.
Saw some merch. But no respons when memphis was on the ft line.

Was a bad game but, fought for every point through the good defense of the grizzlies. Was hoping for the OT….

  20. Good effort, important loss. Last thing I want is to have a better record than wizards and pacers and have the bulls make the playoffs. Never thought I’d say this in my life but if the bulls are going to continue winning we’re better off losing these last few games. I just love this team so much and think we’re the best in the world so it will be tough watching them and hoping they lose. If anything I hope it’s losses like tonight 🙁 next year we’re gang banging the league

  21. Kinda salty about the loss. Memphis ain’t got sh*t. They coulda’ mopped the floor down with us, being a top notch western team, and with that 1st quarter headbashing they did. I can tell you they did well with their rebuilding…something Magic is on its way to, hopefully. Here they are making grizzlies almost regret not doing a quick save and bringing enough potions…they ain’t even fully hatched yet.

  22. Weltman has one more year. Needs to be on the hot seat next year in case he’s thinking about making only fake moves this off-season as per his usual.
