  8. Idk if I’ve missed A’s baseball, or if I’ve just missed getting drunk at the coliseum

  9. Heading to the game tonight, I don’t usually get to go to opening day so this is a treat

  13. Though I’m highly skeptical about this team’s ability to compete this season, it actually seems like the FO is at least attempting to win for now—judging by some recent roster decisions.

    Trading Pache and opting for a Capel/Rooker platoon for instance.

    Signing under-the-radar versatile guys like Díaz and Peterson. Nabbing Fujinama. Adding Noda. Jesus Aguilar is a classic A’s “older vet with power looking to rebound” acquisition.

    Just feels like the FO is trying to patch together a winning team from spare parts and afterthoughts (in the Moneyball tradition) — rather than simply trotting out a ton of young guys with questionable potential who would probably be quite terrible in the short term.

    Will be interesting to see, at least.

  21. Why the fuck is Noda on the team causing a huge blunder of an unnecessary roster crunch if you’re not startibg him against a RHP.

    I’m so fuckin’ pissed Go A’s tho!
