  1. A QBs worth should be determined by how much they have shown you and how much you believe they can take you to a Super Bowl. QBs like Joe Burrow and Jalen Hurts showed they can and deserve to be paid the most, Herbert and Tua have shown statistical success but haven’t been given much of a chance in the playoffs, so they should get paid less then Burrow and Hurts. Then Lamar has had regular season success but shown time and time again very little playoff success being 1/3. So Lamar has shown so far (since he’s only 26) that he’s a regular season QB and can’t bring you to a Super Bowl consistently while being injury prone in the later half of the year. so he should be paid less then burrow, hurts, possibly even Herbert.

  2. I think the league should offer a percentage of cap free money for resigned drafted players. So if so have a QB I drafted, and I picked the right guy. I shouldn’t be punished for drafting well. So I resign my guy, the guy I drafted, and say 30% of his annual salary (only for players I drafted) doesn’t count against the cap.

  4. A good average NFL QB on a good team will make the difference. Having an elite QB always gives you the opportunity to win even if your team is behind.

  5. Winning matters, the league today is designed to revolve around the QB orbit. There's always caveats though, Hurts lost the SB but he got em there and honestly played better than a lot of SB winning QB performances in history. He shows he's not a one year wonder (I think he will show out), then you send a blank check. Much as I don't like Burrow, gotta do similar for him too.

  6. I think the market value being the sole factor is simply stupid. Yes, use it as a reference but when it comes down to a quarter of the entire teams salary – there's 4, maybe 5 QB's if you blur the lines a bit. Geno Smith isn't worth half of what he got. Daniel Jones would have to win 2 super bowls and even then that contract is a big reach. Lamar Jackson – look, he is the Ravens offense… is he one of the 4 best QB's in the entire league to warrant 25% of the teams salary? I'd argue no but the fact is that Lamar is infinitely more valuable to Ravens than Geno Smith or Daniel Jones are to Seahawks or Giants so that's a decision I'd understand and probably support(especially since everything front office tried to help Lamar failed).

Am I wrong somewhere in that first paragraph? Probably. Who the f**k knows how much better that the QB make everyone around him or vice versa. When it comes to QB's if I'm spending 25% of the cap on one guy he better be either irreplaceable in my scheme or among the 4 or 5 QB's that actually elevate everyone around them.

  7. Of course the QB is important and arguably is the most important player on a football team. However, so much rides on the rest of the team both players and coaches that you can't really just isolate the QB and say that you can't make it to the SB without a killer QB. Mahomes is insanely talented and a great leader but he will be the first to tell you that the Chiefs are successful not because of him but because of the team and coaches that surround him. Also, what is the culture of the team, the success trajectory, ownership involvement, roster management, etc…

  8. I just dont get that there are teams with more money to afford than Baltimore, draft picks, and a desperate need in qb position that they wouldnt try to sign Lamar other than the collusion reason.

  9. The reason Tom Brady will always be the goat is because he was always able to have a great team around him because he was never the highest paid qb even tho he deserved to be and he did that for the team. No qb will ever be willing to do that again. The only thing that comes close is mahomes because he took a top contract at the time but not it’s sliding down and it’s such a long contract that they can basically do whatever they need with it to get players on the chiefs.

  10. Playoff wins : Carr – 0
    Herbert-0
    Labum -1/3
And wtf has Murry done with DHop 😂😂 most overhyped qbs in the league rn😂 keeping it black and white

  11. Burros deserves the most … Hurts, if he can repeat this year’s success, also deserves top tier paycheck. Tua and Hebert have ways to go but will get paid lesser. Lamar has shot himself in the foot by being a team player all these years.

  12. There's no formula for valuing a QB. The vast majority of them can't carry their teams enough to cut back on the rest of the roster. Mahomes lost Hill because of cap but he made it up and won anyway. For years Belichick looked like a genius by letting guys go before he paid them He let a lot of talent walk. But he had Brady. Rodgers got more money and they had to let go of talent around him. He couldn't carry the team and pointed fingers at everyone else.

And this market value the way it's being presented here is BS.

And I can't believe Jamie said "Petered Out". And then proceeded to draw a hotness/crazy graph for QBs. I'm in love. LOL

  13. How much of a field general you are, your pocket awareness, your ability to improvise (ex. Pat Mahomes Joe Burrow etc.) and your ability to LEAD THAT LOCKER ROOM
