[Matt Derrick] Fun note: Chiefs played on Monday night Oct. 10, media and team staff were in the facility on Saturday during the Kansas-TCU game. Quentin Johnston went off for 14 catches, 206 yards and a TD. Everybody in the front office was upstairs watching that game until the end.

  1. Wouldn’t be my first choice by any means, but over the last 2 weeks I’ve came around to being cool if he ends up as the pick.

  2. If you’re a fan of QJ, you have to hope his insane YAC numbers translate to the next level. Too many red flags for my liking, but the athleticism is top tier. He could be Kevin White, though…

  3. Don’t think he makes it to 31 so we’d have to trade up to get him. Talented player but if we’re trading up I’d prefer someone else

  4. Isnt he projected to go in picks 5-10? Something the Chiefs can’t really trade up into?

  5. I’m down with it at 31. I like QJ but not really a dude I’d be freaking out over, I don’t think

  6. Alright idk where else to say this but as an OU homer (I know we sucked this year) I would lose my mind if we could get Mims somewhere in this draft. He would be soooooo dangerous. I think he could be more of a deep threat for us with a technical under tree as well. That being said I like QJ I just think we are the team that could get away with having small speed receivers and if we get them cheaper I think we could thrive building our corps like that. Basically I want more knowledgeable people to tell me why I’m wrong haha it feels like that could work for us. All that being said I think anybody can thrive with Mahomey I’m just a homer through and through.

  7. QJ’s best chance of succeeding in the NFL is in an offense that gets its receivers into space, of which we are one of them. I would like it.

  8. I’m not 100% sold the team is good at evaluating WRs.

    Signing Sammy Watkins long term.

Signing MVS long term (and at a higher yearly rate than Juju.)

    Signing Kelvin Benjamin in general.

Drafting Jehu Chesson and Cornell Powell (4th and 5th rd pics, though, so this isn’t really that condemnable.)

Trading up to select a WR in 2019, but then taking Mecole over DK, McLaurin and Diontae Johnson.

Trading *back* to get Skyy Moore when George Pickens and Alec Pierce were available. Jury is still out on Skyy but those two had by far better rookie campaigns.

I’m excited about Toney, though, if he can stay healthy.

  9. Quentin Johnson would be a decent pickup at 31, but it depends on who is available at that time. I’d still prefer a monster edge or tackle if one is available. QJ has the same measurables as Justin Watson so unless he interviews well and Andy trusts that he’ll develop I’d rather just pick up a few later round receivers

  10. Great athlete and person, met him before at an event. One big thing tho is he needs to work on his not bodying tho and he has the occasional drop.

  11. Can someone tell me if he’s actually good or not? Every time he’s mentioned with the Chiefs there’s a complete 50/50 split of people saying he’s great and others saying he sucks.
