Mingo’s phenomenal. Unbelievable ceiling. Would fit in day 1 into everything Andy loves to do.

  1. Footwork against NFL caliber secondaries is phenomenal. YAC ability also has what we saw from JuJu in his early years. Great wingspan. Has the ability to block as a Trips WR.

  2. In one of Veach’s interviews he mentioned that they like receivers that move around and he moved around quite a bit

I also think they like those gadgety type players that are good at yac

    I’m a fan

  3. I see a whole lot of ole miss clearing out for #1 to run 1-1 with the corner. And I also see him not getting any separation from dbs from central Arkansas and Tulsa. Really a whole lot of gadget plays and screens. What “footwork” is he displaying on screens and quick dumpoffs?

  4. Last time two good Ole Miss receiver’s were available we passed on both (Aj Brown and DK Metcalf)

Hope we don’t pass on talent like that again.

  5. I like Mingo as a day 3 option.

His numbers are really inflated by the Vandy game. Vandy really struggled defensively and allowed the 7th most points and 4th most passing yards. Without that game, he ranks 190th out of 445 in YAC/Reception and 248th out of 445 in Yards per route run. His tape vs bama is one I would recommend checking out to see what he can be at the next level.

He is a good blocker, who runs short routes well and can find soft spots in zones, but I think will need to be in the slot most of the time and get manufactured touches like he did at Ole Miss.

His ceiling to me is anquan boldin. Another guy his same size who played 60% of his time in the slot. Obviously if he gets to that level, he will be a massive steal.
