  1. Regardless of how good your comeback is, there is no way you can beat a below .500 Atlanta Hawks

  2. Kyrie is definitely walking after the season ends and I don’t see how Luka doesn’t try to force a trade, what a disgraceful situation

  3. Trae made Luka look like DPOY out there bruh. He took like 6-7 shots against him in the last 2 mins of regulation and overtime and missed them all 😅

  4. The .493 hawks are possibly the greatest team ever assembled — we tried to unmid ourselves but man we needed it

  5. Snyder’s ATO plays were kinda awful at the end of the 4th and in OT but I guess the .500 Hawks cannot be denied

  6. Trae was taking the worst shots you’ve ever seen trying to get a dagger on Luka for House of Highlights, that shit was crazy

  7. The Mavs deserved this loss. Absolutely no interior defense just letting Atlanta run wild in the paint. They’re all but out of the playoffs now. They’ll need everybody else to lose all of their games and they need to win all of their remaining games which I doubt will happen.

  8. On the one hand, I wanted the Hawks to lose because of the East standings and play-in picture involving them and the Raptors.

On the other, it has been just fascinating watching the Mavericks tailspin continue.

  9. The .500 gods are relentless, we tried everything to get rid of the curse/blessing

  10. Uh Mavs fans — why hasn’t Javale Magee played at all this year? He looked average which well is much better than maxi

  11. There’s something so incredibly poetic about Kyrie with an awful foul, the Mavs with a ton of important missed free throws, Luka missing an awful game winning shot, and Trae Young all coming together to kill the Mavs season.

  12. Meanwhile Lakers up 25. Pelinka made the right move not trading for Third Eye Blind

  13. Everyone keeps comparing the post trade deadline Nets and Mavs, so the Nets pulled a dirty trump card and beat the .500 Hawks just to sick the unbeatable 1 game under .500 Hawks on the Mavs.

  14. Our starting C had 1 rebound today.

If the summer involves re-signing Dwight Powell, I will just retire from the NBA fandom job I have and move to baseball.

  15. Hawks play .500 ball goddammit. Salt of the earth, punch the clock, even win/loss ratio
    basketball.

They lose a couple, guess what? They’ll win a couple, too. But don’t get too excited or let it go to your head.

No long winning streaks here, no sir. That’s hubris, which this blue collar, hard working
    everyman team doesn’t have.

A few wins in a row, these guys, true to form, will balance it out with a couple a losses. Yes sir, that’s the
2023 Hawks. A good, honest .500 basketball team.

  16. All you need to know is that the Mavs and Hawks both took the ball out of the hands of the players who were playing great this game just to get it into the hands of Luka and Trae who were ass.

  17. Watch Hawks go under 500 at end of season and run the table straight into NBA finals

  18. One thing’s for damn sure, you can’t blame the Mavs problems on Kyrie. Anytime he had the ball basically, magic happened, he was on point.

Since the trade deadline, Kyrie Irving has had a plus-minus of +88. Luka Doncic during that same span has a plus-minus of -32. Luka is an amazing player offensively but the problems are obvious in Dallas. Not sure how you fix them without Luka changing his playstyle even just a little, and buying in on defense, especially transition defense. Also not sure how you keep Kyrie or lure another star to come play in Dallas after this.
