Interesting PFF mock draft discussion on Bears at #9 (Skoronski/Kancey)

  1. They have the Bears taking Skoronski, but also have a discussion about Kancey who they end up drafting to the Eagles at #10. The interesting comparison is to Ed Oliver who coincidentally went #9 to Buffalo.

I’ve been all in on Kancey since day 1, but between this and the CHGO article on the Tackles in this draft being 15+ on the board, I’m more sold on Kancey than before.

From a positional value standpoint, I imagine that 3-tech is one of the highest that the Bears have for Eberflus’s defense even though he’ doesn’t have the length that Flus has talked about as being so important.

edit- oh, also, I can’t find where I heard this now but someone was talking about just moving Kancey to edge on running downs for the people that think he’s too much of a liability there and that made way too much sense to me

  2. I’m glad he mentioned that all these guys have questions.

I made a thread on why the Bears should take Kancey and many people mentioned you cant take a risk in the top 10. Pretty much everyone that’ll be on the board at that point will have some risk. Can Paris anchor well in pass protection? Can Skoronski play tackle? Will Kanceys length be an issue? Can JSN stay healthy? They all have their own issues.
