A surprising stat about the Tigers OF defense since start of 2022
Here's one that might surprise you
Since the start of last season, the Tigers rank 3rd in MLB in how often they turn a fly ball hit to the outfield into an out.

Hi everyone
This is Mark Simon from Sports Info Solutions. We’re the creators of Defensive Runs Saved and The Fielding Bible Awards.
Just a heads-up to alert you to a fun stat that we tweeted today. And – as I offer on all the subreddits- if anyone has any questions about how our defensive stats work, feel free to ask and I’ll do my best to answer them.
George Lombard is a puppet master who places the outfielders in perfect spots.
I do find it interesting that Riley Greene is -5 in OAA on balls in front of him.
Does the stat take into account the fielders starting position?
