[Faber] “We’re sick of not making playoffs. This sucks coming here every year and being in this time span. There’s not much else to say other than we’ve got to build the culture the right way and work to get better.” -Brock Boeser showing some passion about building a culture

  1. This mean Brock is going to hire a skating coach this summer? Because that’s what he needs if he wants to be taken seriously.

Less lake pics, more time on the rink working on speed.

  2. I mean no one really cares until you actually show some passion when it counts. He’s one of the reasons why they have been terrible this season and last season.

  3. How about scoring 30 goals when you say you’re going to score 30 goals? If you’re sick and tired of it, do something about it.

  4. Assuming he has already been working to get better.. need to work HARDER is what he should be saying… dunno reads to me like totally boilerplate commentary and doesn’t sound all that passionate at all

  5. The amount of “he needs to actually train this summer!” comments in this thread are mind numbing.

Do you guys really think a professional athlete spends their summers on the same workout discipline as a regular fella? Do you guys really think that a lake pic on Instagram in the afternoon means they didn’t do an hour of on ice and 2 hours of off ice training in the morning? Does anyone actually know of this mythical athlete that does nothing but workout, watch film, eat quinoa and then stare at a blank wall any time they aren’t working out or watching film?

  6. How about working with a sports psychologist, a skating coach, and working on your shot. Stop being a passenger.

  7. I wish Brock would spend more time actually learning to effectively backcheck and less time whining. I get he’s frustrated, but he’s also a big part of the problem
