  1. Drew making the sacrifice for what’s best for the Trail Blazers. Randomly shot two threes and a wild layup to save the tank in the 4th. That’s my MVP.

Anyways, we gotta sign Skylar Mays to a cheap two or three-year contract ASAP. He’s exactly the type of backup point guard every team wants. He’s an excellent ballhandler and passer, he has a serviceable jumper, and he doesn’t get killed on defense. Basically, runs your offense and doesn’t do anything that hurts you. He knows his role and plays it perfectly.

  2. Is Sharpe hurt or did he just get pulled for the tank?

I mean I’m all for tanking but…damn. It’s one thing to bench guys before the games with injuries, but it’s another thing to actively pull guys from the game to intentionally lose. I know at the end of the day it’s the same result, but it just feels…different.

  3. I cannot believe Shaedon sat down the stretch to secure the tank. I wonder just how strong a message cronin gave to chauncey to lose at all costs after the twolves win haha

  4. If I was lip reading Taylor Jenkins correctly he literally went up to embrace Chauncey when the buzzer sounded, shook his head and went “that was bullshit” lmao

  5. Can’t wait to see what mystery injury Sharpe will have against the Spurs.

  6. Skylar Mays is a NBA player. I’m not talking about just the scoring. I mean the guy knows how to be a floor general. He has something about him. Blazers need to be looking to sign him on the long term and see what he can give you next season. You might’ve just found yourself the backup PG.

  7. It looks like my heart problems from all the close 10-4 games came back to visit me in this almost winning tank game.

  8. Game takeaways:

    – Sign Mays for next season, legitimate backup PG, Tyus Jones lite type of guy

    – Drew is the surefire tank commander, just played some amazingly awful basketball at the end of the game truly puke worthy

    – Shaedon is too good that Chauncey got the call from Cronin that he had to bench him to make sure we lost, Shaedon got taken out with 8 min in the 4th the score was 101-101 in the next 6 min we got out scored 17-2

  9. Looking back on this lost, this was essentially Billups telling Memphis that he is their father and they can have the win.

  10. The Magic were so close to pulling out the improbable W against the Cavs. Need them to win Thurs so we can let Shae ball out against the Spurs

  11. Providence fan coming to say I’m thrilled to see Minaya get a chance in the NBA, he seemed to have a decent debut. Hoping that continues!

  12. Obviously, Cronin had a talk with Chauncey after the last win. So the coach sat Shaedon Sharpe for the last 5 minutes.

  13. If anybody thought the team WASN’T tanking needs to realize Sharpe wasn’t even played down the stretch. Literally some of the BEST experience he could get, and he was benched in favor of the loss.

I’m not saying one way is better than the other, but it is apparent what the goal is xD

  14. It’s weird to overanalyze a guy like Nassir Little or Keon Johnson for the last couple of years and then Skylar Mays walks in and immediately shows himself to be 5x more intelligent and savvy on the court.

  15. Hawks fan here. I had some high but reasonable hopes for Mays when he was with us… he also had a 4.01 GPA coming out of college which I thought was pretty cool. Hope you guys can give him a home!
