  1. THESE BULLS AINT GOT NAN A DAMN THANG ON JALEN JUICE JOCK JOHNSON!!! FUCKING GOOD WORK HAWKS SKWAHD.

MAKING IT LOOK WAY TOO EASY. JUST REMEMBER TO ALWAYS BE READY TO MATCH 3’S WITH BETTER TEAMS THAT CAN SHOOT ‘EM.

  2. I told y’all I wasn’t going to be able to watch this game. This one was for y’all.

Just looking at stats, god I love Bogi

  3. I’ve been a Trae Young nut hugger for the past four years, but let’s remove all of our bias for a second and be objective here for a minute.

We looked very good that entire game, without Trae. I say we let Quinn do his thing next year with both DJ and Trae, but if we are still having problems mid-season, do we start to consider trading Trae for some great wings and go all in on DJ?

  4. Hawks brought the intensity tonight proud of the whole team tonight. Fuck the Bulls and Raps

  5. WE FINALLY ABOVE .500!!! JALEN A BEAST. SADDIQ A BEAST. BOGI A BEAST. LETS GOOO

  6. Braves win. Hawks win. Happy 404 Day everyone. It was a good one. Also did we just win back to back games? Is that allowed? This is a miracle.

  7. I’d implore everyone to watch the games when Trae is out. Clearly a different type of energy on both ends of the court.

  8. if im trading trae im building around JJ so yalls build around dejounte murray takes are still wrong

  9. I can’t believe that there are people who generally think that a dejounte murray led hawks team is making it past the first round. If we are going to trade trae, someone like jaylen brown, would perfectly co exist with dejounte

  10. It does make sense that a coach who was in a hot seat was never going to try and bring out any talent from the young guys!

That being said JJ isn’t too far off from DRE

  11. Jalen johnson is better than JC. And all the things JC does well, Jalen can learn to do. He fits the modern NBA because of how versatile he is.

  12. But every time Trae is on the bench / DNP and the offense grinds to a halt, y’all are in here saying the DJM trade was awful, he can’t be a second star, he’s not a guy who can run the offense and take pressure off Trae.

    This place sucks man

  13. Not sure if I want to beat the wizards in an incredibly important game or keep the streak going

  14. Y’all talking about trading Trae after beating the Bulls are literally insane. This place is so annoying.

  15. Okongwu is sick, JJ had his best game of his career, Bogi had what felt like his first vintage bogi game of the season.

Bey was a nice addition. Feels like a guy we can trust with the ball, to go get a bucket against a mismatch, or to knock down a 3.

  16. If Trae plays like he did before this year, he’s a great addition to this team.

If Trae continues to play like he has in 2022-2023, he will be a liability to this team.

Y’all arguing about this shit are dumb as fuck. Trae is a fucking star, but he sucks this year. Both of these statements can be true.

  17. I’m going to bet a lot of money against us next game. If we’re gonna be stuck around .500 I need to be paid for it

  18. Can’t even fully enjoy the Hawks win bc idiots in this sub want to trade Trae after one game against a worse team than us. Our offense typically grinds to a halt when he leaves the floor. The real takeaways are the we have good chemistry with OO, Bogi, and JJ… and Trae usually plays super well with that type of lineup. JC and Dre need to go and DJM needs better court vision. Also great seeing Capella with some soft touch around the rim lately.

  19. I was really impressed with the effort tonight, definitely seemed to play with more intensity. Hope that shit keeps up bc we are better when playing aggressively

  20. Much needed win without Trae and Dre and they managed to get it done on the road. It doesn’t really surprise me when Bogi goes off like he did especially around this time of year but JJ…. It’s a shame he didn’t play much last year because if he did, I think he would be getting starter minutes this season. Still has to work on his shot but when he has the ball coming downhill, NOBODY is stopping him.

  21. The Atlanta Hawks for the first time in a very long time got one game above .500 with a 40-39 record thanks to a win against the Chicago Bulls 123-105. I also wanted to note that there won’t be as many highlights for the 3rd and 4th quarters due to multitasking with external stuff.

Bogi was amazing tonight. Bogi cooked to start the game. Bogi went on an 8-0 run by himself to start the game making two threes and a floater. He hit another three to give him 11. Bogi threw a lob to JC that went off the backboard and JC put it in the basket. To start the second Bogi drew a foul from a step-back midrange from Kobe White. With under 4 he drove, made a floater, and drew a foul on Caruso. He ended the half with 16 points on 5/7 shooting and ⅗ from distance. Bogi started the 4th with a nice hand-changing layup. He drained a long-distance three next possession. He ended with 26 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists on 6/15 shots including 5/10 from three. He was great as a scorer and was efficient. His passing helped as well with only one turnover nothing less than an A+ for Bogi.

Seddiq Bey was great, especially on the inside. He had a quick 5 points to start with a bucket and three-pointer. With about three left in the first, he splashed a buzzer-beater three in a last-second heave. After he had a nice circus layup over the defense. With three minutes left in the half, he drove, stopped for a fake, and got a finish. He hit another inside shot off a Murray offensive rebound. Bey ended the half with 11 points on 5/7 shooting including ⅓ from three meaning that he was immaculate from the inside as you can see from the highlights. He was +13 by half which I think shows his contributions. Seddiq continued starting the third with a reverse layup. He continued on making ⅔ inside and ⅓ from three. In total, he ended with 18 points 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 1 steal on 8/13 shooting and 2/6 from 3. I have nothing bad to say about how he played tonight other than the three-point shooting. A- for Bey

OO shined on the defensive end tonight. OO had a nice block with about a minute left in the first. With about 6 minutes left in the 2nd, he hit a three!! In the third OO had a nice block on Vucevic getting revenge when he blocked him the possession earlier. Some of his offensive highlights are embedded in the other players’ sections. In total, he ended with 11 points, 5 rebounds 1 assist, and 3 blocks in 19 minutes on 4/7 shooting. He did all this in 19 minutes and only got 2 fouls. A for OO.

The player of the game goes to Jalen Johnson. Johnson had a three-go-in with about 30 seconds. He got it set up because he was able to secure an offensive rebound. In the second Johnson had a nice chase-down block on White. After he was able to get a steal and a dunk. He had a nice play where he bodied White and extended with a dunk. The next play he hit a turnover jumper. With 6 minutes left, he hit a cutting layup and got a foul. Johnson was amazing at the half with 12 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, and 2 steals on ⅚ shooting. His only miss was a heave due to a winding down shot clock. With under 30 seconds, he spun in the paint for a pass to OO who got a foul call. With about 9 he had a nice sequence challenging White at the rim for a miss. He got the rebound dribbled up the court and threw a lob to OO. In the second half, he went 2/4 including one more three-point attempt. He walked out of the arena with a new career high in points (16) and steals(3). Along with this, he had 4 rebounds and 2 assists on 7/10 shooting. He did have 4 turnovers but I don’t care. I want him to be aggressive and drive the ball. I want him to bring the ball up. I want him to play make for others and he needs the reps to do it. I love to see Quin reward his efforts with 22 minutes of playing time. Love to see it. A+ for JJ.

Murray was the guy whom we thought had to go crazy since Trae was out and that did not happen. Murray still put up an efficient 17 points, 3 rebounds, and 9 assists on 9/15 shooting. He misses all three 3 point attempts. Murray drew a foul early in the first which resulted in a challenge from Billy Donovan who lost. With about two he had a nice fake and was able to turn around for a jumper that rattled in. He got all his points on midrange shots and floaters. The passing was great, especially in the first half where he racked up 8 assists. I thought defensively there were a few times that Lavine was able to blow by him easily. Overall it was a solid game B+

JC was fine to start. He had 9 points in ⅜ shots by half. He got to the line for three shots. With under 5 minutes in the second JC executed a spin move for a dunk. That was pretty much all he wrote. He ended with 9 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists in 23 minutes on 3/9 shooting. I think he had around 15-17 at half so Quin rode Bey and Johnson which is great to see. C for JC.

AJ was meh. 7 points, 2 rebounds, and 1 assist on 2/7 shooting. He hit a midrange shot after getting the pass to OO blocked and recovering the loose ball. He hit a three. He got the rest at the line. 24 minutes of playing time. D+ for AJ.

Trent had 2 points, 3 rebounds, and 1 assist on ⅓ shooting. Forest had a nice back-door pass to OO who got the last-second bucket. He hit a layup to start the 4th. He had 3 turnovers. There was one bad one where he got picked easily by Patrick Beverly. Pretty mid-performance. D

Clint was solid as usual. 13 points, 14 rebounds on ⅚ shooting. He also made 3 of his 4 free throws which is always nice for Capela who is a career 50s shooter. Defensively he was the usual and was able to outwork Vucevic on the board. Offensively there were no lobs, but that was no problem from Clint he utilized the hook shot to pretty good effect. I think Clint and OO are the best center lineup in the league. Not many others have 48 minutes of great center play. Solid game overall. A- tonight.

We play the Wizards and they’re awful (34-45) so maybe we might be able to break free from the game above or under .500 chains with a win tomorrow. I’ll see yall then!
