  1. I love this team so much!!!

No Markkanen, Kessler or Clarkson and they just always fight it out! This was against a team fighting for their playoff lives effectively and we gave them one hell of a scare.

  2. GAME NOTES:

-We were down by 10 with like 90 seconds left how did we even force OT???????? Bank GOD KLYNYK

-Welcome back Mr Sex himself! Played limited minutes and didn’t start, and chipped in 15 on 7-14 shooting and 3 assists off the bench in 16 minutes. I’m actually surprised he played at all the remainder of the season.

-Agbaji was our MVP tonight. 22 points, 7-15 shooting, 4-8 from 3, 4 rebounds 2 assists and 2 blocks for the rook. He had a big first quarter and was hunting for shots early which was great to see. He looked confident. He cooled off majorly later in the game, and started to short his shots. He did play a team high 38 minutes tonight, so that probably hurt his shot.

-THT struggled, but also finished with 20+. 23 points, 7 assists, 4 rebounds and 2 steals. He only had 2 turnovers which was great. He was very aggressive this game, getting 13 free throw attempts. Although his shot wasn’t falling, going 7-21, He was able to facilitate and get to the line. He still made some boneheaded type plays and put up some bad shots, but I would be more shocked if he didn’t do that. He also played some good defense on that very last position, his long arms suppressed AD from tipping the game-winning layup in at the end of regulation. But he put up a bad shot at the end of OT to tie it up. Just THT tingz

-Kelly Olynyk also stepped up tonight in the absence of Lauri. 23 points including a huge banked 3 with 40 seconds left. 7-10 from the field, 4-4 from 3, 5-6 from the line. He had 6 assists and 7 rebounds. His shot hasn’t been falling the last few games, going 1-10 from 3 his last 10 3PA before going perfect tonight. In OT he did pick up 3 straight fouls on 3 straight possessions which hurt, but such a great game for KLYNYK

-Our defense on AD was superb the second half. Azubuike did great, Olynyk did great, and Jones played excellent. I was very surprised at how well our scrappy C unit did against the all star. Our gameplan with AD and LeBron was to do a soft blitz. We’d generally send Klynyk or Agbaji over to do a soft double, and our guys wee really good at rotating to make up for it. It worked on AD, but LeBron just did his thing. It also allowed for Schroder and Reaves to pick us apart, but we really contained AD that second half.

-Speaking of Jones, 16 points, perfect shooting 5-5 from the field, 3-3 from 3, 16 points 6 rebounds and a big clutch stop on LeBron’s game winning layup attempt. He was what we needed defensively, being able to move a bit faster and stretch the floor.

-Luka Samanic started, and his hustle is something else. 5-6 shooting, 2-3 from 3, and he was everywhere it felt like. He wasn’t able to get much in the stat sheet besides 4 rebounds and 2 assists, but what a great game by our 10-day.

-Dunn also did his usual off the bench. 10 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists as our backup facilitator.

-Dok started the game, but didn’t finish it. 2 points, 5 rebounds, 1 block. Not much showed up on the statsheet, but I was pretty impressed with his 3rd quarter D against AD.

-As a team we played a pretty solid game. 52.2/45.5/77.4 shooting splits. Our second half shooting was unreal. We were outrebounded just by 4, had a solid assist game, and kept our turnovers low with just 12. 7 players in double figures, pretty much everybody but JTA, Tech, and Dok. The fouls were a bit lopsided, but we were playing the Lakers lol.

-Our ragtag group of guys really went into OT against the Lakers and kept it neck and neck lmao. Lowkey had me scared we would pull off a victory when that’s not really what we want. We really need to guarantee a top 10 pick, especially with the Mavs looking at shutting down Luka & Kyrie.

36-43 bitches. This keeps us as the 9th best odds at the 1st overall pick, up against the Mavs by 1 game, down 2 games against Washington, Indiana, and Orlando for the 6th best odds.

  3. Couldn’t tell if Kelly didn’t want to take the sixth foul or if he felt the sudden urge to tank after nearly sinking the lakers.

  4. I hate losing and generally am not a fan of tanking, but this loss really felt like a win. Improved our draft odds, kind of feel like the Lakers should be a little embarrassed rn. Hopefully the guys built their confidence (and trade value) up tonight

  5. KO was supposed to take the final shot to complete his redemption arc from Sunday night

  6. A huge win for the tank

As a Lakers hater, we gave them overtime, and they have to play again tomorrow, so they likely lose

Kelly, Damian, Talen, Collin played phenomenal. I’m happy we lost for the tank, and this was a fun game

  7. Can’t help but find it funny this roster keeps taking healthier and better teams to the wire.

I really hope this competitive nature isn’t a roster construct and more of a Will Hardy thing.

This season has been a blast can’t wait to throw more young competitors into this current core.

  8. I’m glad we lost for the tank but man it would’ve been so funny to embarrass the Lakers with that lineup

  9. We made a statement tonight that alone is a W.

And fuck the Lakers until the end of time.

  10. Damn… the two guys Pelinka got that people crowned as a “fleecing” of Danny Ainge played pretty much zero minutes in crunch time

  11. will hardy is clearly such a great coach. the team fights so hard no matter who is on the floor.

  12. Where do we even start? Damien Jones, what the hell? I knew he liked to shoot those threes from the corners, but he hit one straight, went 5/5. Kelly Olynyk really wanted to Maple Dick the Lakers, and he damn near pulled it off. Ochai shot well. Sexton didn’t look great, but man his energy certainly is infectious. THT, well, he had a game. Early on especially eh and other players were just taking bad shots. There was a small period of time where he was letting Olynyk take the ball up the court, and it just seemed to work. I think with Kessler we win this game, giving us height and depth.

  13. The 2022-23 Jazz are going to have a special place in my heart.

Im going to watch the Thunder game preparing our grave with the biggest smile I can do. Man, what a season

  14. This loss was definitely a win. We didn’t fuck up our lottery odds, we exposed the lakers as a team that isn’t going to do shit in the playoffs (if they don’t get bounced in the play-in first), and got our young guys more crucial minutes for their development. I can’t wait to see how this team looks after an offseason of trying to improve rather than revving the engines for the tank.

  15. The Jazz really traded away four of their five starters, outperformed expectations, traded away their last remaining starter and three other solid rotational players, outperformed expectations, benched our best two scorers and best defender and played Udoka Azubuike 21 minutes, and LeBron still had to turn on playoff mode and play 38 minutes to squeeze out an OT win against the Jazz after AD got shut down by Damian Jones and Kelly Olynyk.

I’m gonna miss this season when it ends man. This is the most fun Jazz season I’ve ever watched.

  16. Yo I’m a LeBron guy but man what a game.. future is bright for you guys. You all battle and watching the 3 ex lakers for some of the season I thought they were trash but hardy has them boys working! Future is looking bright jazz nation! Good luck and can’t wait for y’all to get wemby

  17. ✅ Started one seasoned vet (KO), one rookie starter (Agbaji), one rotation guy (THT), one guy who’s just barely played more than 500 minutes by his third season (Dok), and a guy on a 10-day contract (Samanic)

✅ No Lauri, no Walker, no Clarkson, no problem

✅ Got our future sixth man in Sexton back from being announced for the season so he only played 16 minutes

✅ Gave 32 minutes to Damian Jones and saw him get 16 points on 5-5 shooting, 3-3 from 3

✅ We have Luka at home

✅ Kris Dunn played 27 minutes and was solid despite foul trouble

✅ Gave a combined 37 minutes to Tec and JTA

✅ Took the Lakers to OT with AD/Schroder/Reaves playing 42 minutes each and LeBron playing 38 minutes

✅ Two crazy 3’s from the Klynyk

✅ This was the first game of a B2B for the Lakers, so they’ll be exhausted for tomorrow’s game against the Clippers

✅ The tank rolls on and we maintain our lead on the reeling Mavs for the 9th best lotto odds

✅ We see the Lakers again for Game 82 so we can do this all over again

    ✅ Free chicken!

  18. As a lakers fan I’ll give it to Olynyk, I didn’t know a bank shot could be that soul crushing and literally make you die inside. Combine that with your good, loud ass crowds that make it feel like you just lost the finals

  19. Good game y’all. Got a bright future and a shit ton of draft picks. Will be watching y’all a lot never year.
