  3. I’m not worried about Vlad. He’s pretty much the one (positive) constant we have on this club. He’ll get things going soon enough.

  4. I think he’s looked really good at the plate so far IMO. I don’t have the numbers to back it up off hand, but from the eye test, he’s taking bad pitches and seeing the ball much better than last year.

  5. Didn’t have numbers to back it up before now but a thing I’ve definitely said to myself about Vlad is “the process seems to be there even if the results aren’t yet”

  6. He’s gonna be great, but the number of ground balls worries me somewhat. Has a very long swing. Plate discipline looks like he was early 2021. He’s very confident and in control

  8. You can have your opinions about Manoah’s attitude, worry about Bo’s fielding, cry about Berrios’ contract, but we do not, absolutely do NOT worry about Vladdy.

  9. The exit velo is solid but average launch angle of 5 degrees indicates he’s still hitting the ball on the ground too often.

  11. It’s waaaaay too early to make any sort of statistical statements at this point.

    Plus, it’s Vlad, not worried at all.

  12. It’s 5 games in. There is going to be a lot of regression to the mean in the coming months.

  13. Vladdy is going to be an all-star and be in the conversation for MVP. I just have a feeling.

  15. If you have been watching the games Vlad has looked pretty good. Nothing to worry about here. The long ball will come.

  16. I love the advanced analytics 5 games into the season, it reminds me of the troll on here calling himself Nostradamus because some of our pitchers had rough first appearances.

    Guys. We’re 5 days into a 162 game season. There’s no need to be making cases for anything yet. 🤣
