I heard Alvarez is sitting today because the equipment manager needed more time to sew the enormous sponsor patch onto his jersey.

Why is anyone surprised Alvarez not starting?
I feel like having Alvarez catch Megill today makes more sense than Senga, no?
So he’ll most likely be the DH to replace vogey if they bring in a lefty pitcher right?
Look I get that catchers aren’t gonna play every day, but Megill has experience with Alvarez while Senga doesn’t. Why not let Alvarez make his season debut catching a guy he’s caught before?
